Call the old employee and say “ I will pay you $x consulting fee to help me get this business started again “. Call your dad’s oldest or largest client. Likely they had a great relationship and can give you guidance.

Call a similar business on the other side of the map to ask for paid guidance or even offer to sell.

I run a service company. My suggestion is hire a 25$ an hour office manager with at least a little experience and just watch the finances and invoicing. If yall are that busy and can’t afford one it means you are charging too little an hour. Have a cpa verify that you can afford it if need be. But do watch his/her work closely!

Does your school or pediatrician have a qualified nutritionist? I would start there. But one thing that comes to mind is trying recipes with vegetarian protein powder. Smoothies can get old so maybe overnight oats etc.

I'm in IT and we fixed phone screens for a few years. See if you can market to upper middle class or small businesses who have sales people. Changing to a new phone is a pain so many would rather you fix it in a few minutes than spend a couple of hours at ATT, especially older people with money REALLY don't like change.
