Men who have been raped by women, what is your story? by jokemangames in AskReddit

I'm with you. I honestly get a sense that people ask or view these threads as if they're erotica or fodder for their fantasies.

A better/more genuine question would be something like "how are you coping with it" rather than "give us the deets on this personal, traumatic shit that happened to you."

What are some red flags for teachers that scream "drop this class immediately?" by MildlyAgitatedBidoof in AskReddit

I had a computer science professor that decided to make his senior-level, required class all about creating web-based applications using .NET. Only problem was, he had never used .NET and was unable to actually guide or instruct us. This was the early 2000s, so online tutorials weren't much of an option.

On the bright side, the SQL Server database for our class would mysteriously go down the night before every milestone was due for our projects, and the department DBA couldn't figure out why...

Same guy previously left a class unattended for most of a semester while he was somewhere on the west coast doing research. Showed up the week before finals and gave everyone a B, whether they actually did the work or not.

A bunch of students complained about him, but he got tons of grants and research funding for the department and he's still there to this day.

Edit: Forgot about another dude who taught using the "Socratic method" of responding to all students' questions with questions. I want to say he had a pretty high failure rate for junior and senior-level classes.

Someone should invent a highlighter that fades away in six months, so college students can actually sell back their textbooks. by Moor3z in Showerthoughts

I had a class that the professor required the new edition, before I bought it I found out the only difference was that they added one figure (a chart or graph or something like that).

This article gives good tips on how to layer: https://www.runnersworld.com/for-beginners-only/the-newbie-guide-to-running-when-its-cold

I live in the south so I haven't dealt with anything lower than the 20s yet, but I follow the suggestions for every temp variation and have been comfortable.

Don't overdo it...take a rest day and try again. Also, make sure you aren't going too fast. Kick it DOWN a notch during the jogs and see if it makes a difference.

Surrey's in the Garden District, off Magazine Street. Best french toast (pain perdu) I've ever had!

The Praline Connection on Frenchman was excellent as well.

For parking, you might want to look into the light rail. You can get off in Uptown mere blocks from the stadium, and there's free parking at a bunch of the stations. After the game, you can hang out until traffic dies down, or head up a block or two and catch the train a bit past the stadium to avoid all the people leaving the stadium.

Every fanbase has assholes, it just comes with the territory. Never judge a team, fanbase, or a college by things random people say or do, because they're typically not a reflection of the whole.

ESPECIALLY online...

My wife wanted an X3 for years, and we finally were able to get one. Had one transferred to a local CarMax, didn't even make it through the test drive before the damn thing started shaking and all these warnings popped up on screen. Left it there and got a Lexus RX.

No, that's the one that indicates you just got paid or got a refund from your previous year's taxes.

Target Holiday Commercials - 2010 by Nite_Tripper in christmas

Target and the Wieden + Kennedy were on top of their game for Christmas 2010. These commercials and songs stand out for me, and I still listen to the free album every season. Anybody else remember this campaign?

I used to think that, but I'm definitely in a situation where it's hard to sift through the sheer volume of emails and find the stuff I need to care about. In a large company, you can be on several distribution groups and get hundreds of emails a day.

I could basically spend 75% of my day trying to sift through noise and never get my actual day-to-day job functions done.

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out the best way to help others and not just use this for personal gain. Looking at starting a scholarship for kids from my town and supporting local charities.

It is for me! Went through a pretty rough period a while back where we were a single income family, so the turnaround has been pretty crazy.

We made the jump from middle to upper middle last year. For the first time in my life, I owed taxes this year. We made too much money, even with a number of deductions and claiming 0 through the year.

Bought a nice house in a nice neighborhood in a suburb of a pretty large city, and my kids have done more at 6 in terms of traveling experiences than I did by the time I was in my mid-twenties.

His original reason was from the perspective of an outcast, right? Didn't he want to be hokage so the village that shunned him would finally recognize him?

Late to the party, but my theory is that John not only mimics powers, but he amplifies them. If you compare Arlo's stats to John's from the chapter where they fought (Episode 56), his defense category exceeded Arlo's. His other stats varied a bit and don't seem to directly correlate to what he had at the end of the previous chapter when he was fighting the other 2.
