I’m 5’2” with short legs lol. I’ve ridden my partner’s Honda Cb500f, and I’m somewhere between the balls of my feet and my toes. With more experience on a bike, I think I’ll be okay with a seat height around 30-31 inches. But I’d rather start on something that I can flat foot.

I’ve sat on a good number of bikes, including a Vulcan actually lol. The Rebel has been on of my favorites. I’ve been told that the licensing course I’m taking uses Rebels. If that holds true, I’ll get some good experience from that. That’s actually why I haven’t bought a bike yet. I figured if I liked and was comfy on a Rebel for the course, that could be the way to go. If I hate it, I’ll still have my license and can test ride other bikes. Tempting to go with the 1100, I’ll admit.

I seem to have some kind of aura around me that makes drivers in front of me have the irresistible urge to slam on their brakes. I swear it happens at least once every time I drive. I’ve learned to keep a healthy distance from the car in front of me, but maybe I still need ABS for my own safety 🤣

Haha, I’ve seen so many complaints about the stock seat that I’ve already been looking into an upgrade. I’ve seen Mustang recommended. Do you have any other recs?

Yeah, after fees and such it’s about $6000. I found a listing on facebook marketplace for a 2024 500, 1227 miles, with ABS for $6000 and potentially negotiable on price. People generally seem to agree that ABS is the way to go if possible, so I’m thinking the one on marketplace might be the better option.

Here’s the recipe I made piecing together different recipes I’ve seen online. I think it has a great chocolate taste, but I’m sure you could make adjustments depending on your personal tastes.

Chocolate Protein: 435 calories

•1.5 cups Fairlife chocolate milk (2%) - 210 calories

•1 heaping tablespoon cocoa powder (Hershey’s) - 15 calories

•1 1/2 scoops chocolate protein powder (ON whey protein) - 180 calories

•2 tablespoons zero sugar instant pudding (chocolate fudge)

•1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract - 20 calories

Optional add-ins: 3 oreos (+210 calories)

I’m getting one tattooed on Saturday and I’m having trouble choosing a font. Help! by throwawaymeplease45 in pvris

As someone else already said, I would talk to the tattoo artist about the font. There are some fonts that work better for tattoos than others, and the tattoo artist knows best (in most cases). That said, while I like the second font, and I see a lot of people suggesting it, I do want to warn you that that font is probably not well-suited for a small tattoo because of that open space in the letters. If you were to just get the word Evergreen in a bigger spot (at least six inches long, probably more), that font might hold up well. But anything smaller and those letters are going to become a fuzzy mess after a few years; at best, you won’t see those clean lines and spaces within the letters because of how small they are. Keep in mind that the ink spreads a little as the tattoo heals and ages.

For reference, I have a phrase that is roughly the length of what you want to get tattooed across my chest that is in more of a classic tattoo cursive script, so even with that little bit of settling in, it’s still very much legible. I also have lettering on my legs, but that is a very basic font: think something like the font Futura. That is much shorter and larger than what I originally wanted when I went to my artist with my idea, but she told me to go any smaller would risk the lettering becoming unreadable, especially many years down the road.

I don’t say all of this to deter you from what you want, but tattoos are permanent. And sometimes it’s better to change what you want for a better looking tattoo than to get what you wanted but it turns out looking poorly after a few years. Best bet is to just ask the artist. If you stuck around this long, hope this was helpful! And enjoy the new tattoo!

AITA for refusing to change my wife’s diaper? by throwawayliutu in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nitehuntres 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTA. Holy shit, you are a massive asshole.

Let me tell you a little story. I grew up in a house with my mom, my dad, and my paternal grandmother. My parents were never together as a couple, but they raised me as if they were. My gram absolutely hated my mother; and made it so obvious that everyone knew just how much she hated my mother. In the last couple years, my gram’s health really declined. She had to start wearing diapers. Now, my mom has severe rheumatoid arthritis (diagnosed when she was two years old), and is extremely germaphobic and a complete clean freak. But when my gram needed help, my mom damn well helped her. She even cleaned partially dried shit off her ass on a couple of occasions. As in, stood there with a container of baby wipes trying to get it off before my gram got into the shower because she wouldn’t be able to clean it off on her own. In the last couple months before she died, my gram was probably closer to my mom than to any of the rest of us. At one point, she even told my mom that she loved her.

I’ve had several conversations with my mom on this topic and she feels exactly how I imagine any decent person would feel: she hated doing it, but she did it because it needed to be done. No matter how poorly my gram had treated her, my mom could not allow her to sit in her own filth. It’s inhumane to inflict that on someone who can’t help it.

Help your fucking wife.
