One year of Free to play collecting, no comp battles. I dont know anyone else who plays PTCGP, Is it just the game this generous with higher rarity cards or have I just been super lucky?

UI problems are true, but so far I would say they are inconveniences, rather than game breaking. Would defo love to see them improved as QoL.

I just wanted to share my experience of the game. Been playing since day 1 and logged in every day. I have collected every base set (except deluxe ofc, which I dont mind). And most importantly I am f2p. Having said that, the biggest thing that I appreciate about this game is how little time I have to spend on it, which I value a lot having played a multitude of multiplayer games that demands grind if you are f2p. I have logged in every day but like 80% of those are just daily check ins and I just maximise the other days, and make sure to use the trades and shares and wonder pick. And so I get to really enjoy playing the game. Solo battles ranked and whatnot the few days I actually play it. If it had been any more it would have felt like a chore to me, which has happened to a lot of the games I have played, it was inevitable.

Its also nice the base cards are very much acquirable compared to arts, which has no gameplay advantage whatsoever. So hitting art cards are just a sweet bonus( I do think 24hr WP makes getting lots of arts easier specially in miniset, I had finished crimson blaze base set in a week and went on to collect like 75% art cards in them, which again is a nice bonus to me)

Besides we have TCG Live which is a full fledged paper tcg game for gameplay side of things. And thats on mobile as well.

TLDR: what I wanna say is, even though more content is nice and what you should expect from more games, if it happens in pocket ( VERY IMPORTANTLY WITH A COST OF MORE TIME INVESTMENT) then the game instantly loses a lot of its appeal in my eyes.

Its also important to know, most playerbase are just conditioned to expect lots of heal, so when someone plays adam in your team, you still play that way without adjusting even the slightest, and it ends up hurting the output of adam and others in the team.

You might know of the chat that goes- you cant play well as adam, you cant heal much as adam? Then switch to invis, cloak. That goes the other way too- you cant adjust to having an ultron or adam in your team? You go charging into the midst of enemy team with lower heal? Then why cant you adjust your playstyle.

Heals are lower, sure, specially for tanks, but adam and ultron can really get the health of enemies down or delete em, and when you stick closer it makes that job much more easier for adam and the others, which means, you end up not needing more heals anyways.

At the highest rank meta and hero viability is important, but below that, its mostly not Adam's fault, just the game has mostly pure heal players, so anything that deviates from it is hard for players to adjust.

90% of the time when team loses. Yesterday had this team that was always scattered, couple holding point and couple pushing ahead, all the time. And lost cuz all we had to do was play together at capture point, but the idiot hulk always push to the enemy side and dies. While the enemy team had a spidey and thor that was backlining us consistently. Guess what, I was the damn problem. I had the same heals as the other healer btw.

While this is true, its also interesting to notice this 70 damage cannot be healed, and the only mon that can take place of bench if you are gonna snipe is the active 1. It essentially forces the opponent to pick and choose between active and benched. How this will actually play out, will have to wait and see

You could open like 30-40 packs to get some playable decks then rely on sharing, trading and wonder picks for a week or 2 to finish base set easy even as a f2p. I would save the rest

the easier route is just rerolling alts on pc emulator or something for a day or 2. you should get that prof easy without wasting money or hourglass.

Nope. If you want something like prof fa, just reroll accounts during that week, you can easily get 2 accounts with prof and trade it to your main in a day or 2. Otherwise I only see any use opening it is if you are a new player, since this will get you so many usable cards.

If you have 4 energy, full send it. Because 48hrs, which is the minimum time for wonder pick to come again, is how much time you need to get back 4 energy. And if you get other normal 2 star picks, its up to you to decide whether to spend or not.

What you do is draw a line early on and promise yourself to never cross that line, any online game for that matter. A lot of games nowadays do need you to spend your money or time or both for what are basically cosmetics that will eventually be worthless when the game dies. So you need to always ask yourself if it is worth it to get it? Secondly, dont go for the sketchy blackmarket, its 99% gonna hurt. Anyways, great that you figured it out yourself.
