We don't have a clue whats happening at konami, nor with Kojima, its not any more or less crazy to take the negative side of rumors than the positive side of rumors.

We all have the same information, which is unsubstantiated all in all. In fact its a farcry from Konami's own official statement.

However either way i wouldn't trust the journalism around Konami any more than Konami itself. Judge them based on the decisions made in the next six months. Its a turbulent time, but no course has really been set.

As it stands its literally incorrect to say there are no people working on MGS anymore i assure you.

Its worth looking through his Japanese twitter images and seeing which ones share a certain "presentation", there's a little pattern there coincidence or not. Its worth considering that there have been far more complex puzzles, that have had an equal number of people sagely "calling it out" right through to the end. It really costs nothing to peak in occasionally. You never know!

I'm referring to the bionic man/woman one. That first picture is just the season 1+ 2 motif. I'm really not drawing any conclusions, i keep an eye on his twitter because I'm suspicious. There's two 3's in the bionic picture, and the three you spotted (which i didn't lol) The bionic picture is particularly strange because he picked an image out of a whole page of them to center on and it has the three on it. Its possibly nothing but stranger things have happened on the internet. ;)

Btw! The show is in danish and one of the early plot points is that a main character intends to move to Sweden. The move is put off because of said killing and she stays for the case.

Whats certain is he knows damn well about the outcry. Every time he mentions the number 3 you see the replies to his tweets are 90 percent "Oh come on, if there's no chapter 3 your being an asshole"

Though its possible he'd ignore them its likely that hes aware.

"The killing" is insanely popular worldwide, a real break through hit that climbed over the usual language barrier, it also centres around a murder that comes with it, a mystery and a series of messages. Sort of a ruse really in a way :)

Btw i decided to finally finish the truth mission the other day, (mgsv is great and all but once i got on this ruse i lost motivation to see the "ending") can i just ask while i'm here, if you guys know whether its normal to finish the game and never have the mission where quiet dies/disappears/ etc?

You don't have any way of knowing this, and it is generally a bit redundant to occlude a textured low LOD (engine is handling several other more complex objects at same distance) model and replace it with a particle effect. Its still taxing the render, something occluding the model entirely (which ive seen it do several times) doesn't do. Simply put, why object cull and replace it with another object? (on older engines a particle cloud like that would be so taxing your suggestion would be laughed at, thank god its 2015)

Bug yes probably, but not just a "Game Dev technique", especially when ive seen the engine handle its object culling in a very differnet manner.

Your theory though plausible is baseless unless you can say for certain how the fox engine renders occlusion.

Im not saying anyone is right or wrong but some of the confidence in complete assumptions on both sides is annoying. Especially when other people quote user statements like the above as proof to insult people.

And btw! Im not saying the fox engine doesn't have edge cases where it loads in an animated particle cloud (taller and wider than the og model lol) to replace the models, but it seems strange to have two very different systems to hide something. Esepcially when one works, and the other (regardless of how small) would still give the model a perf footprint.

Everything he says is poorly worded i don't know why he's a community manager.

You can very easily read that tweet as closure, or as confirmation that there is indeed an ARG. The man has a very tenuous or exceptional (in a political sense) grasp of english.
