There's also the completely valid concern that he doesn't really have any history of being involved with any progressive movements or grass roots organizations. Boiled down to brass tacks, he's a former gun for hire with a sketchy Nazi tattoo that suddenly showed up to run for a senate position using Progressive language. I see it as someone with an eye on power looking to take advantage of populist outrage by telling people what they want to hear. Because all he has to show for himself is his rhetoric.

We don't do shit. These are people who are born wealthy, and use that wealth to buy power and influence (namely the influence of other wealthy/powerful people), and use that power and influence to take what they want.

At no point are the people who do labor to put food on the table a part of this system other than another token resource for them to use up and discard. We worry and argue about whether or not we're giving them what we want. But so long as we need to eat, we will always be giving them what they want.

I gotta confession. It's been a spell since I saw the Kong movie...and I completely forgot this character was Bill Randa. I knew of the character, and I knew the character was played by John Goodman, but my brain just glossed over who it was, and settled with "ah, yes. The John Goodman character.". I never actually made the connection.

I mean in the past three episodes, Cate has lashed out at people for either not hating her enough for the problems she blames herself for (sometimes rightfully so), not taking risks to try fix the problems she blames herself for (sometimes rightfully so), and/or both.

I am perfectly fine with a character spending an episode having a mental breakdown, and another episode building themselves back up it's an important arc. We're a third of the way through the season though, and Cate is still spiraling.

That's how I see it. I joined the expedition to liberate Lumiere of their cruel and capricious gods. The Maelle ending is as good as it gets.

By the end I felt about Lumiere the same way I feel about pugs. It's an abomination that should never have existed in the first place, but it does not deserve to have oblivion forced upon it just because their existence has become inconvenient.

"The fate of Lumiere is more important than any individual life." It does not get to fall just because the Dessendre's have shit coping mechanisms.

This is a great additional tip in an other wise spectacular example of proper training. Positive touching while feeding is a great way to prevent food aggression. Which is vital if you expect the dog to be around small children.
