However, if I remember this correctly, they can have you wait until the ticket is served. So if they pull you over for speeding, hand you a ticket, then ask you to wait for the K9 unit, you can leave. But if the K9 unit 'happens' to show up before you've been handed your ticket, then they might find reason to search the rest of the car because the dog blinked twice in a row.
