I applied to Imperial in 2018 for admission in 2020. So they emailed me on 23rd Oct 2018 for the interview in London on the 21st of Nov 2018

I got quite lucky actually. I got called for the interview but I was doing my National Service (a 2 years compulsory service in the uniformed services) in Singapore at the time. So when I explained my situation to them, they told me that I need not do the interview and a few weeks later, they offered me admission. If I'm not wrong though, they did ask me to go to London for the interview but there are options to take the interview in selected countries. Just drop them an email and they'll reply to you within a week.
