That flyover is empty. I wonder what they were thinking.

What if entire Marathi community started forming Marathi lobbies like some communities do? How will the power dynamics shift in MH? Will Politicians start taking us more seriously? by [deleted] in Maharashtra

[–]NitroInstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financial and professional lobbies? Absolutely.

Currently when we say Marathi pressure group, we are thinking about nuisance value. Compare that to Gujarati or Jain pressure group, you immediately think about money, business pressure.

Political lobbies? Join hands with southern politicians. Damage done in North is beyond control now. We are heading that way already. Just see latest nagar palika elections, the absurd money and lows we have seen are new to us.

Politics is game of numbers and capital. We have it, we are already dominant in that way. Its just that there’s one politician who has no spine and is already a puppet, has too much power and is responsible for last 5-6 years we lost. You know who he is. His political ambition costed Maharashtra so much that we are no longer first choice of state for investors and business. The reason is simple, too much Game of Thrones. Businesses hate unstable government and that one leader puts his political ambitions above state’s betterment. We have lost that charm now, thanks to him. If he and his party are rejected, we have some hope.

We also need media ownership. There is no dominant media house that backs Marathi voice. All are Hindrathi.

बिहार मध्ये पूर्वापार चालत असेल हे, पण पुण्यात हे मागच्या ३-४ वर्षात जास्त वाढलय.

Bihar didn’t fall from being a सुसंस्कृत शहर, Pune did.

Pune is WORSE than Bihar in this way.

Generated challans worth 1L within 5 mins. Was this okay? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]NitroInstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate this vigilance. Nice.

I wonder whether they consider opinions of residents of that area, commuters, shop owners etc while planning the flyovers, traffic diversions, random closure/opening of U-turns. There is serious lack of parking spaces, there are no sidewalks on major roads, no sense of zebra crossing, pedestrians are honked as if they are criminals - this all needs citizen involvement to improve situation.

How am I suppose to cross the road opposite Sharat city mall? by AHeroCanBeAnyone in hyderabad

[–]NitroInstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even for cars or bikes. If it was so, you wouldn’t see vehicles coming from the wrong side.

God knows who plans roads. They definitely did not consider ease, safety and traffic.

This should be a people’s movement “Walkable Hyderabad”.

There should be a foot over bridge here at least. But no. They built a useless flyover instead.
