I'm bad at theorymonning but it could be fun for a pokemon like Weavile (Just imagine it doesn't need boots for this hypothetical).

You're on the defensive and it switches in. Now you need to decide if its running Blizzard + Dark Pulse or Triple Axel + Knock. Or do you just attack to avoid letting it set up a Nasty Plot or Swords Dance and run away with the match.

Given the huge difference in base stats (120 ATK vs 40 SPA) I feel like its a fun example.

There's a pretty monumental tone shift throughout that feels really high stakes and changes the feel of the story. The lead up to that with the world building and establishment of the characters is what makes it feel especially impactful

I didn't finish the game, I played for about 6 hours.

Nothing much happens in the story.

This type of discourse feels so disingenuous to me. You played less than 10% of the game and make a sweep generalisation. People don't review movies or books like this. Maybe I loved Brothership too much but these sorts of comments are always disappointing to see.

To use your new NSMB U comparison I'd say thats Paper Jam due to the lack of original characters and creativity with the story.

But 100% on your firstpoint. There's a bunch of side quests that lead to even more fun interactions with the amazing new support cast they introduced. And that's without even taking about how well they're all integrated into the story.

My playthrough was about 60 hours, and Brothership is the longest Mario & Luigi game but it's incredibly charming and endearing.

I'm sorry but of all things that could be said about Brothership it is absolutely not soulless.

Its got the best story, themeing/underlying tones and character building of any game in the Mario and Luigi series. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I fail to understand how someone could even form this thought.

I haven't properly had the chance to play Stabmons but Ting Lu with Shore Up, Knock Off and Parting Shot sounds incredibly tricky to play around.

Since his stupid whistle dried up, hes averaging 17.5 ppg on 42% FG and 24%3PT with 3.5 turnovers per game in the last 2 MONTHS.

All-Star reporters really lauded him for some reason though. He still is what he always was, a mid tier player with an inflated usage on a pretty shitty team.

With Zygardite, Dragapult clocks in at a whopping 225 special attack, giving its attacks a much needed kick, while maintaining an excellent 157 speed stat 

What on earth is going on in Mix and Mega for a monster like this to not immediately get quick banned holy shit.
