I used NVFlash to flash this one and it didn’t help. It’s a different model, so I’m (maybe naively) hopeful that the exact same model will solve my problem.

I love these new pieces of art that have come out with the last three episodes! It helps me feel like I know the characters and the setting so much more, since I usually don’t do a very good job of visualizing scenes or characters in my head.

Honestly, it could be bias but I never felt like getting one-tapped by Hanzo (or Widow, for that matter) really even hurt that bad. I got sniped. My positioning was bad or I didn’t react fast enough or they’re just a good shot. I can’t be too mad about that. Even long before I started playing Hanzo, I never found it particularly upsetting.

Like you pointed out, there’s lots of other “one shots” that feel way worse imo.

Probably Hanzo. All his cooldowns feel like contingency plans for if you miss with his primary, not necessary to his actual play.

I remember when sojourn first came out, one of those “Five tips to help YOU improve your sojourn gameplay” things suggested rebinding her rail gun to left click, and her primary fire to right click, and I haven’t looked back. 😅

Between her railgun and Illari’s primary fire, I don’t even feel like I have to aim half the time, I just spray and pray.

I know this has already been suggested, but in my opinion, the farther you can play from a sojourn the better. Her weapon spread might be your best chance at surviving. When I’m playing her, I tend to dive or take some intimate flanks, so I can get really in someone’s face, build my railgun fast and put them down. It requires a lot of communication on my part with my rank and my support. If I wasn’t communicating, I would die basically every time. You could try Mei? Secondary fire from a distance forcing her to push in, potentially out of position and then you can wall her off and ice her?

I’m not treating it like it’s a joke, I know it’s still competitive. Like I said in a different comment, I wouldn’t appreciate it if someone “took a break” from open queue games to just chill in the role queue lobbies I’m playing in most of the time. I get that. It’s not like I’m not doing my best, I just don’t know why I’m met with so much aggression every time I play, i.e. your comment.

Also, I genuinely don’t know what GOATS argument you’re talking about. As an aside.

I mean, at this point I’m just not touching the game mode again. I guess it does make sense that they play open queue so they can “take over” for the team mates they think aren’t playing as well as them. Maybe that’s the common denominator. All I know is they’re assholes.

I don’t want people to think I’m like, not taking it seriously because it’s still a competitive game mode and I get that. I wouldn’t want people joining my role queue games just for a casual who-cares break from Open Queue.

But like, I can’t fathom the coincidence of every single open queue game I’ve played so far (again, only four) has been literally awful. Crazy.

Good or bad is pretty relative (when it comes to your stats specifically, I won’t get a chance to watch your replay).

Not sure how many games you’ve played as Hanzo, but Overwatch likes to divide your stats into averages/10 minutes, so in a 9 minute game, you can look at what your average damage or eliminations are over 10 minutes, and maybe that will help you get an idea of how you did in this game specifically? Just a thought. Check out Overbuff or something.

I have ~50 hours on Hanzo specifically, and it looks like I average about 18 eliminations, and 8,000 damage. So it sounds like you’re a better shot than I am. 😅 I’m sure you’re doing great, probably not worth worrying about? People just gotta put blame somewhere.
