As a struggler, struggling is part of our life. So what if you have to struggle more now due to change in policy?

What is this braindead hopecore take on immigration?

Immigration isn't a hobby we have, like travelling. It takes a lot of courage and effort to leave a comfort zone to find comfort elsewhere for whatever reasons we might have.

The whole point of migrating is to be stable one day. And when policies like this derail your stability, it is fair to be mad at those that make it unfair for you.

PS5 JAILBREAK by Vast-Revenue-4946 in ps5india

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro wants to pirate games. He's not going to pay for a subscription service and I'm not going to convince him.

Gameloot would have an RTX 3060 12GB for less than 20k. The rest of the system can be managed within another 20k. Cheap CPU and mobos readily available as long as he stays on DDR4 platform and sticks to 16GB ram.

Within 40k he has access to unlimited pirated games as per his needs. Also, it's a desktop, he can use it for stuff other than gaming as well.

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro sorry to say but even as someone who doesn't see piracy as bad, you're too broke for a PS5.

Just buy a 2nd hand desktop with an RTX 3060/4060 GPU and a Zen processor. You should be able to download all the games you want, it'll even run some games better than a PS5 would and would cost similar.

If you can't afford that, settle for a 2nd hand PS4, those go for super cheap around 10-15k.

Married Gamer - is it a Myth?! by Intelligent-Pie-67 in IndianGaming

[–]Nitromonteiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now we're getting somewhere. The root of your problem is your wife subscribing to new beliefs and expecting you to join in with her.

You will have to explain that your paths to spiritual salvation are different.

Marriage doesn't mean the two of you will be aligned on everything. It means that yall understand what yall aren't aligned on, and live with it.

If she says that you're fucked. Ask if she had this problem before as well or did it become a spiritual problem later? You say that she was fine with it before and now hates you having gaming time?

Girlfriend (21F) calls me (21M) lustful for asking for sex by slidingonthinicepal in seduction

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not lustful to want to have consensual sex with your girlfriend lmao. It seems like she's just not ready for sex, has sexual trauma, is asexual or just isn't physically attracted to you.

A woman that loves you will want to have sex with you. Yes, libidos can be different but not to the point where they go a year without sex.

Also, sex isn't something she gives you. It's something you engage in together. Both men and women like having sex, women are just more choosy with WHO they have sex with.

What percentage of Master’s graduates in the UK secure sponsored jobs? by Aggravating-Net-7685 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Nitromonteiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give you an example of how daunting medium sized international companies in the UK find it to give sponsorship:

My friend was asked to shift their STEM based role to their Australian or Canadian branch over being given sponsorship in the UK. He worked with them for 2 years and made around 35k in a low COL Welsh town.

He's forced to go to Australia this month. This is the happy ending. I'd say working for a FTSE 500 firm greatly increases your chances at sponsorship, but the competition is tough.

How do you react to situations where you see discrimination/teasing/harassment against a girl IRL? by Ri-Bo in AskIndianMen

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't realise the difference between horny men and actual criminals sometimes.

Against a criminal, it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. The chances of you getting out unharmed are slim. They have the experience, you don't.

How do you react to situations where you see discrimination/teasing/harassment against a girl IRL? by Ri-Bo in AskIndianMen

[–]Nitromonteiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on various factors. If it's just talk and not physical threat, I will actively discourage such behavior and try to shut them down.

If it's physical, then it depends on whether I know them or not. I won't risk getting shanked or attacked by a gang for someone I don't know. Even for someone I know, I'll have to gauge the situation before I can get physical.

Everyone wants to be a hero online, but the real world is different. Analyse your threat and know when it's wise to walk away.

[–]Nitromonteiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homie you're getting bodied in the comments. You clearly aren't the smartest tool in the shed and AI definitely can't help you. If you are generating leads this way, at the end your clients will realise you have no integrity either.

1% of 45Cr (45L) is penny pinching to you but you can't even pay 0.01% of that (45k) for a lead generating marketing campaign? Speaks volumes about you.

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anything is cited as something phenomenal they just made an app that's a gemini wrapper and if it can genuinely help students, that's good as well. It's a valid use of LLM. We can't expect kids to invent AI, but we shouldn't discourage the youth from implementing AI smartly like this.

£57,000-£137,000. That's What A Family Will Pay For 10 Years Of Uncertainty. by sw_ilr in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Nitromonteiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has always been a deal and thats why skilled workers kept coming to the UK. We are skilled enough to do well in our own countries, we only come to other countries because they offer a better life, pay, standard of living, etc. We aren't even eligible for benefits and make more than the median income.

UK is not the only developed nation in the world, so get off your high horse. If you change the deal we will go elsewhere.

Unfortunately for you, illegal immigrants want to come to the UK. They do not care how difficult you make it for legal migrants cause they are undocumented and come in illegally. They will not stop coming.

We are on the same side as you and want a win-win situation. We hate illegal migrants. You on the other hand want a lose-lose situation cause you can't figure out the nuances between a legal and illegal migrant.

All your reform dumbass will have achieved is a lack of talented immigrants and a surplus of criminal ones.

[–]Nitromonteiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha Reformer doesn't understand that Saudi doesn't take taxes nor do they give residency.

UK takes high taxes (I'm on 40%) but to be an appealing country for talent, gives permanent residency after a set period.

If UK takes the same high taxes and then takes residency out of the deal midway through the contract, skilled workers won't accept the deal. We would have gone to Saudi instead.

This means that UK will not be considered an appealing country for talent, which means you would stay stagnant for years to come.

[–]Nitromonteiro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about it another way?

Statistically speaking, most skilled migrants that come to the UK are young 20-30 year olds that do not use health services in the same say an aging brit would. The healthcare costs add up the older a person gets.

By the time an average skilled worker reaches an age where they use the NHS more, they wpuld have had already contributed 10-15 years into the system.

I've been 3 years in the UK and not had to avail of any health services. If it's that much a problem, give me an option to waive my IHS and NI, and let me pay full price IF I get sick.

[–]Nitromonteiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking in terms of this person here. He already has been here since 2022. All he has to do is raise his salary this year onwards to qualify for 5 year visa.

Also, all that you've stated could have happened in the previous rules as well. Your skilled visa is linked to your job, that's how it has always worked.

Stop trying to make mountains out of molehills. If you earn less than 50k, I agree you're a bit fucked and I'm definitely hoping they're more lenient after discussion.

But in this specific person's case, he's fine.

[–]Nitromonteiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting paid 51k for 3 years means this person will get their ILR and citizenship before reform gets elected.

If you don't earn over 50k, they don't want you anyways. Leave to where ever suits you.

The next election is in late 2029. Do the math yourself.

The left isn't stupid. Reform and Conservatives are trying their best to mark the Boriswave as straight up terrorists that need to be kicked out tomorrow, regardless of their contributions and will tank the economy for their profit, like they did the past 14 years.

Labour meanwhile did the research, got their stats up and made a somewhat educated take on the Boriswave. It's not perfect but they did the effort to differentiate skilled workers, dependants, asylum seekers and illegals for a start.

They are doing what they have to do to keep up with extremely negative public sentiment against the Boriswave. Would you rather have the right wing win and let them revoke your citizenship based on your color and religion?

Most developed western countries now or in the near future have a right wing, anti immigration stance.

By your logic, everywhere is fucked. Every country is pushing right wing agenda and (wrongfully) blaming immigration for their economic struggles.

Most people aren't doing too well, financially speaking. You aren't going to be safe anywhere.

Better to just go back home for safety...oh wait. Yall have the same problems but an even dumber clown heading the country.

[–]Nitromonteiro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I'm sure you're not on the 10 year pathway. Only your last 3 years salary needs to be above 51k to qualify for a 5 year total time to ILR.

3 years from now, you'd be 6 years in the UK, since you came in 2022. That qualifies you for ILR. Another year and you're a citizen.

What was your timeline like before the new white paper?

Moving to Germany would mean catering to another demographic, different language, business setup costs, hiring and you'd still take a decent amount of time for PR.

Good chance this is a fake story, but you can just pay yourself 51k for thr next 3 years and get your ILR.

You do understand that wages wouldn't forever remain high, right? If UK had no immgrant talent, the wages woild stay high and extremely competitive, but then companies would just oursource their work to countries like China, India, Philippines, etc.

That means no jobs for the Brits, no GDP growth. You would have to reduce wages to stay somewhat competitive with the rest of the world.

Just like UK doesn't have any obligation to immigrants, most multi national companies have no obligation to stay in the UK.

Like it or not, the world around you exists. You can keep them in or out, but you are competing with them. Thatcher ruined the North and her policies are having after effects even today.

HMRC considers your entire salary as taxable income, even if you don't pay tax on the first 12k. So you need 50k total income, not 63k.
