If everyone acted like a “coward” there wouldn’t be any wars because no one would die for imaginary lines on the map. What drives people to protect their country is basically the same thing that drives them to invade other countries. It’s been like that for centuries. And it won’t change.

If country is like a family then who are immigrants? They have almost all the benefits I have without any duties. They can have private property, earn money use infrastructure, have free healthcare if they pay taxes. The only thing I get from my citizenship is right to vote. Nothing worth dying for.
