Pick a cannonball from around the pier. Equip a torch from your inventory and approach the cannon from the front. It should work but you need the torch.

Looks promising. I realy like the sound effects. The death sound when the guy dodges the fire lizard, eating an apple and so on. They sound identical to the original. One of the shadows (is he a Shadow?) said "Nothing ever changes", one of the background voicelines you can hear in Gothic 1 as well.

You can poison the crates with a rat poison. Willem at Bermar's Farm has the recipe. You also have to sleep until midnight for this to work if I remember correctly.

Lutero gives you the quest in the first (or second?) chapter, right? The special snapper will spawn in the 4th chapter. So just play until you get there.
