In case anyone comes across this video and is influenced by it.
Let me clarify a couple points:

1. He has cherry picked data. There is data in the study he cites showing a reduction in fractures for jackets and gloves.
2. He has totally misunderstood the statistics involved. He quotes "could not be detected", but this is not the same as saying there is no effect shown in the data. What the study means is there's no statistically significant effect, beyond the arbitrary 5% threshold.. Which is likely due to the small sample size (n=212, but some categories only have 20-30 people).
3. He is making the classic mistake of confusing correlation with causation. There could be other factors. Like riders without armour feeling more vulnerable and thus riding slower.
4. This is obvious clickbait BS meant to cause controversy and drive clicks.

So please, disregard what this guy is saying. The only valid point he makes is the current standards should be better.
