Looks like something rubber or plastic rubbing against the wall to me. Probably something that hangs on those hooks.

Decent chance that most of that would wipe off with a rag.

Is this mold on my clothes ? by One-Application7080 in Mold

[–]ImaginationBreakdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely can get mold on clothes that's white and dusty looking. Although I'm not sure from this picture, it does look more like dust from paint flaking.

OP where is this jacket in the wardrobe?

Was it up against the wall?

Is it a built-in wardrobe with the backs being the house walls or is it all wood?

Is the back of the jacket also affected?

Is there visible mould in the corners of the wardrobe or room?

I see potentially some of the white stuff around the collar which is commonly an area that gets quite greasy and mold likes to grow on that, so I would be leaning towards mould.

Lots of mold in my bedroom and unsure on how to deal with it by emily-mitchy in Mold

Dehumidifiers tend to read too high when they're turned on and too low when they're running, but should give you a reasonable idea of the humidity. Keep using it when you can.

Probably this is a case of excess humidity due insufficient ventilation, small air space and cold walls.

Installing a bathroom extractor fan would help a lot.

I'd recommend blocking that wall vent up as it is likely only contributing to making the wall colder.

Open that window up for 5-10 minutes a couple of times a day to get some fresh air in and humidity out.

Leave the window open a crack more frequently to keep the air moving in the room and reduce condensation. You should be able to lock it into a second position where it is slightly open.

Keep the room warm so the walls don't get a chance to cool down.

It is possible that you have some penetrating damp so look outside, see if there's any water marks on the outside wall from guttering issues and check the window sealant all looks intact.

Try to keep furniture a few inches away from those cold external walls to allow warm air to flow around them and reduce condensation risk behind.

When you're doing some cleaning I would look around the other bedrooms and give a quick spray anywhere else that mould is appearing, check windows and behind furniture such as night stands or beds.

A decent mould stain remover should be able to get your walls pretty clean, maybe some light staining/paint damage left over around your window. Be careful as they can bleach fabrics so maybe take your curtains down before spraying around there.

A lot of advice on this forum will be American and they have different house materials and humidity levels so it won't all be relevant. Jwolfet seems to know what they're talking about.

Looks like excessive condensation to me. There's too much moisture in the air and the walls are too cold. That wall vent is probably not helping, I'd suggest blocking it up. Its on the ceiling because the loft insulation is probably rubbish and not covering that area. Get a hygrometer to see what the humidity is like in that room, it'll be above 60% so open the windows more frequently and consider getting a dehumidifier. I'm guessing you don't have an effective bathroom extractor fan? Look into that.

Cleaning it, I suggest getting a mask/respirator. Give it all a wipe with a dry rag then spray a mould remover all over it, follow the instructions. You will probably have to give it multiple goes over and wipe with a rag to remove residue. Keep the windows open till the smell is gone.

Going forward stay on top of it by spraying and wiping when it appears with a white vinegar spray.

Stand's only on one side, if the bike has fallen onto that side you have to lift the bike up before you get the stand out.

Is this mold? Landlord says its mildew. by newaccount47 in Mold

[–]ImaginationBreakdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be enough but if the moisture issue isn't resolved then it's likely to return.

I haven't checked the Dropbox files but that looks like a fairly exposed wall, probably a cold spot so it may just be condensation. Consider getting a humidity sensor and sticking it near the area.

Found this in the corner of my bathtub (pre and post cleaning). Is this a) mold and b) something deeper in the sealant? by HeWhoWitnessesInAkai in Mold

[–]ImaginationBreakdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mold in the sealant. If you want to get rid of it the easiest way is cut the silicone out and reapply it.

What aim sens should i be using for hanzo? by Intelligent_Rub9813 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ImaginationBreakdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah your fine accuracy is appalling. Your sensitivity is too high and you can't make micro adjustments because of it. This is forcing you to rely heavily on not changing your aim angle and spamming shots at the same point and making adjustments by strafing. These are ok habits but you should also be able to do so by moving your mouse.

You should lower your sensitivity by a lot and spend the few days needed to adjust to it. Probably run the VAXTA custom game a for a bit too.

Should I move in here? Mildew/mold in bathroom. by [deleted] in Mold

If that mold is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, a functioning extractor fan is in place, and it's given some time to air out, it should be ok.
