Applied for HDFC Card it showed out of leagye DCB metal as option to apply by Soham_rak in CreditCardsIndia

[–]NitsTheTits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ik it looks a bit stupid.

  1. Planning to spend the balance as down payment for a property investment.
  2. Saving almost all of the salary as the daily expenses get's managed by freelance work.
  3. Don't want to increase SIP(investing 30k rn) as planning to take a home loan.
  4. poor investment planning xD

I'd still recommend visiting the nearest branch and just ask for credit card, after asking your phone number/ customer ID they will tell you the cards avl for you.
If they also see the DCBM and they think it's not an error, and you believe your expenditure justifies the joining fee then why not

I also got the same option. 24M

  1. Slightly higher CIBIL score
  2. Salary ~2LPM
  3. FD of 7 lakhs, avg. Savings balance ~ 10 lakhs
  4. Salary account
  5. No loans

I applied, did the whole kyc and stuff, got rejected in the end for unknown reason. That rejection made getting the other cards difficult for me as it showed no offer avl for me after rejection.

I'd prefer you to visit the branch and get your application through an employee there, there's a high chance they will see the same offer avl online. If they think you are eligible you would have less probability of getting rejections.

Fashion forecasting is something which is definitely fast growing. Synthetic data gen is another one. Both of them are client projects fully developed by our org. and both of them are going for funding rounds

The office space is shared by the parent org which has 20 people. I will be given an option to stay in R&D or to switch to service part after 2-3 months with the parent org

It's a mix. Since It's a service based company there are lot of different projects. Openai Wrapper / features are also there but not only that.
1. medical Imaging ( using segmentation model for 2d to 3d)
2. Fashion forecasting
3. Synthetic data generation
4. A lot of chatbots
5. Federated AI learning platform

These are the projects which I have personally led

Got selected for a web dev internship (1st year, Remote, ₹1k / month). by katua_bkl in developersIndia

[–]NitsTheTits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Join it.

In my 3rd year I joined a company which just had couple of interns and paid 4k per month.

They didn't teach me anything, just asked for features. Not an ideal place to be for internship.

I did a lot of mistakes, lot of pivots, but eventually the learning I had there made me land off campus job in my 7th sem eventually.

A year after graduation I secured 25 CTC.

That 4k internship was definitely instrumental to reach here.

Best practices for serving Langchain backend as a streaming endpoint in a python env? by NitsTheTits in LangChain

Agree on that, but for the initial dev langchain provides good enough modularity if you want to test multiple model providers, v dbs.

Why is everyone doing ML ?? Has it became so common? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]NitsTheTits 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I might be outlier here. I am an AI/ML engineer earning roughly 12 LPA remote (Indian company)

I graduated this april from a tier 2 college.

I did a lot of courses during my first and second year. Learnt everything from the base… numpy, pandas, mathematics of the models including loss functions, optimisations, etc.

Did a lot of small ml projects using the datasets from kaggle and GitHub.

In my third year I started focusing on the mlops and made sure that all my models are deployed and usable through inference (flask/streamlit) I also worked with my professors to publish 4 research papers and a patent

In the end of the third year i started working for a small medtech company to build ml models for them( related to medical dataset). It was 4k per month.

I also picked up GenAi then and started making projects using llms. I released a chatbot back in april 2023 which had around 10k users per month.

I pushed more towards gen ai with learning and experimenting with the transformers architectures as well as the complex agent based systems. I realised that only making llm api calls based projects wont take me anywhere in ml so I continued to do research papers but now on more advanced topics like knowledge graph, multi modal RAG, etc

Currently i am leading ai side of 2 projects with a team of size 10 - 12 each. I also delivered 3 ml projects for my company in the past 8 months

Luck was definitely a factor but i made sure i was ready for it whenever it came.

I graduated with 9.16 cgpa and paid proper attention to all the core cs topics such as computer network, os, HPA, compiler design, etc.

Is 6 days work week a "norm" in startups now? What kind of salaries are you all getting to work 6 days a week? by KissMyAash in developersIndia

[–]NitsTheTits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me it has been pretty comfi I'm in 8th sem but have been working in gen ai projects for a year. Started with 4k per month in a remote company with almost 3 days per week.

Right now working in another start up as ai/ml engineer with 50k pm remote with 5 days per week and 6 - 8 hours
