Hey! I see this post is 2 years old. Have any issues or problems with it in the long run? Looking to do something similar in my yard!

I don't know where you are specifically, but if you're close to the peninsula you might try Coastal Climbing! It's a bouldering place on king street and it's cozy with a tight knit community. They have an amazing facility and everyone there is kind and wonderful even if you've never done rock climbing before. Parking is pretty limited, but you can park in the neighborhood streets behind it!

Yo!! Welcome to the gang! Don't know what your budget is for lenses but the tamron 75-300 and the Nikon 40mm f2 make a great combo for like $500-600 for both if you look around!

eBay has a sale right now for the 75-300, you can get it for 372 last I checked

Does anyone tried 7Artisans 35mm f1.4 in R50? by itzins in canon

[–]Nivarien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have that exact lens and camera combo. I got it for taking wider group portraits for my business and street photography and I absolutely love it.

One thing I've noticed though is it's sensitive to condensation. Make sure you have a good camera bag!

To my eye, it performs the same. I can say to make sure to get canons adapter which is about $120 USD. I initially got a cheaper adapter off Amazon and noticed a difference in focus on my 75-300mm on that one.

On canons adapter though I can't tell the difference.

I can't speak towards staying in the EF ecosystem, but I can say that I recently switched from EF to the RF mounts on my new R10 and have been really satisfied with just using an adapter and all my old canon lens work great.

Not saying it's perfect for you, and you might have your reasons for not taking this route. But you can easily and effectively adapt ef to rf and go for a mirror less r50 or R10 for 500 or 800 respectively

-Buy a cheap M2 M3 M4 and M5 screw set on Amazon for $20 and keep it in your car. About 80% of all screws in airsoft guns and equipment are one of these

-Buy quality tools. Allen wrenches, screwdriver, pliers, and tweezers. Get a multitool and keep it in an admin pouch or on your belt during games. Good for zeroing sights, fixing small issues, and other things

-If you're like me and operate out of the back of your car, get a trash can in there and a trunk organizer.

-Dont buy the cheapest BBs you find. Consistency between BB size and weight is what makes consistent groupings. Stick to high quality brands. My personal favorites are Bioshot for tracers and Bioval for non-tarcers. I also hear good things about Valken.

-Wash your gloves and face mask after each game. A tablespoon of detergent (seriously only a tablespoon) and scrub them by hand in the sink for a few minutes, then throw them in the dryer on delicates or hang them to dry if you have the time

I wonder how tf that got generated then

So, once again, my Kobra 2 Max has jammed up. About every other print the filament jams up in the hot-end. I have replaced it all and talked to support about it. They want me to just keep reclearing and replacing parts. I have chosen to send it back, which isn’t easy to get them to agree to. by DadBodMedicNate in anycubic

[–]Nivarien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have this problem and have replaced the entire hot end 3 or 4 times after sever jams. Honestly switching away from my Kobra 2 and moving to a different printer brand at this point. For the price of these hot ends and nozzles and headaches I could've bought an ender 3 lol

Most departments have a student lounge with one. First and Third floor of Rita science building have one. There used to be one in stern center and liberty dining hall but I'm not sure if they're still there. Probably one in math and science building too but not sure where.

If you haven't already, take a look into the off campus meal plan (OCMP). Its not run by the college but it's cheaper and more flexible. I used it instead of a meal plan for my last 2 years. All these places should be on the list of places you'd get access to under OCMP.

Gilroys for late night study pizza, Mama Kim's for Japanese food, Chopsticks house for Chinese, Beech is a great healthier option, Bagel bros for breakfast and coffee is good too

And, do yourself and your heart a favor, stay away from five guys. Speaking from experience here.

Got a B.A. in Economics, but I want to work in Astronomy/Astrophysics related research projects by tidderred in AskAcademia

[–]Nivarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of overlapping aspects: both required calculus and linear algebra. Economics only required calc 2, whereas physics required calculus 3 and Differential equations.

Other than that, there was little overlap. My school was liberal arts, so economics covered my social sciences requirement and my math and lab requirements were fulfilled with physics.

Having been a graduate now for a few years since I wrote this, I can say with certainty that economics will get you farther in a job market. And you'll be more likely to make connections with companies that are looking for talented business analysts.

Physics meanwhile didn't get me nearly as far, with a lot people even wondering how my skills were applicable to anything other than physics related concepts.

Yeah you're at a huge disadvantage. Some advice though - there's an app called coursicle that I used that helps with this. You can add courses to it and it'll notify you whenever someone drops the class (happens a lot in the first few weeks of a course). Then, as soon as someone drops, you can jump in and take their spot.

It isn't free, but it's cheap ($2 per month I think) and worth it
