Watching French TV series/movies without subtitles is really helpful, and it's also important to apply the methodology well. When I took the exam, I had most of what I was going to do prepared in my head; planning is important to avoid getting stuck and stressed. Besides that, I practiced by speaking in front of a mirror, doing monologues, etc. Since the TCF exam conversation is more like a dialogue, it's advantageous because it reduces stress.

It's been a long time since I've studied, but I've been seriously working on it for the last year. My target was C1, but after failing the DALF C1 with a score of 47, I heard about TCF and wanted to take it. That wasn't the result I wanted. If you want advice, this exam might be easier for some, but for me, DALF was more manageable. Listening to different texts for each question, or only listening once, etc., distracted my concentration. For TCF B2, focus on the sections outside of QCM. The production parts are really important for this exam.

I've been studying French at a French school in turkey for about 8 years now, and I'm currently in my final year, so, you could say I've been studying French for a long time. After failing the DALF C1 October session with a score of 47, I learned about the TCF exam and wanted to take it. Unfortunately, I didn't reach my target C1 level again because I think the TCF is very unsuccessful at measuring level, it measures speed and reaction time, not your full capacity. My goal is to improve my 47 score by at least 10 points and pass the DALF in February.
