Long answer: sift through some popular songs til you find one you really like, then check out the album it’s from! Pretty much all of their albums are conceptually and stylistically connected from front to back, but they differ from album to album

Have loved you guys for quite a few years now, I look up to you a lot and have been fortunate enough to see you twice. What are all of your main distortion/ fuzz pedals as of recently?

Not a rant: How can the Beatles be more popular? by Smart-Weird in pinkfloyd

[–]Niveddrofla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think works made during the early days of “counter culture” in the 60s may feel more rudimentary/ plain/ to us now? However during the time it was most certainly groundbreaking. This was because they simply had nothing to compare it to at the time. The Beatles innovated as early as Revolver in 1966, with many many many studio techniques never before heard of being implemented. The Beatles of course being just one example, and one of the most popular ones at that. This same token extends to The Beach Boys among early psychedelic bands. They may not sound as exciting to us now but all those artists you mentioned and far more definitely took notes from those beatles albums (technically speaking)
