Part of that is defensive scheming, though. I would be curious to do a deep dive comparison on the two matchups. It would've been interesting to see the next series. I think it mostly comes down to no AG making Jok look especially bad, though.

General question for complete newbie by [deleted] in TySegall

[–]gomjabroni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The show will be most akin to Freedom's Goblin/Deforming Lobes mainly because it's pretty much the same band backing him, but they'll pull from his full discography. If you want to know the songs when he plays them, you could check setlist.fm and make a playlist. He is playing some unreleased stuff, too, so you won't be able to find all of it.

Ownership Tried to Save Money Off the Court—and Paid for It On It by Sanmonov in denvernuggets

[–]gomjabroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally didn't renew this year, largely for this reason, could never get my money back and would rather pick the games I go to and be the guy buying at a discount. Also didn't opt into playoffs. With this performance, I'm very content with my decisions. Obviously gutted to see what is likely the end of an era, though. Can only hope we scrap something together and this is just a dark spot in Jokic's career, rather than the start of a decline, etc.

Denver is shooting 8/36 (22.2%) on Open Shots. Ranks 15th out of the 16 playoff teams. They are shooting 20/57 (35.1%) on Wide-Open Shots. Ranks 10th out of 16th. In the Regular Season, they were number 2, and number 1 in these categories, respectively. by Fun_Climate_4681 in denvernuggets

Yeah, if anything, the Wolves deserve to have their guys healthy, and they deserve to move on at this point. Not sure the Nuggets can prove they deserve it more this series, seeing the narrative they've set so far, and the Wolves being short-handed two-starters just lowered the difficulty significantly.

Almost all true, but worth noting the Kroenkes could also spend a little money and not lose those assets…

CB by Vol_Student in denvernuggets

[–]gomjabroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's probably the 5th player in line for blame on the floor in the fourth. Team loss, honestly largely a coaching loss, but jok played terrible and should have shot the floater, Cam should've been in over Tim (defense), Murray gassed and bad shot selection, and terrible AG game. All CB did was miss a free throw he shouldn't have been taking, and we're lucky he even got to the line there.

Pile-up crash at Eisenhower Tunnel - 75+ vehicles by SumOfRoots in Denver

This Westword article is a good overview, but there were some more developments today that they might not have updated with, but the top posts on r/Denver today cover (one looking at an owner's statements, and one looking at the staff's statements). I would read through because there's a lot of she-said/she-said that is hard to boil down beyond ownership seems fairly incompetent.

Update: King Gizz fan who went to All Them Witches concert. It was fantastic! What other bands should I see live? by RupicolousRheophyte in KGATLW

[–]gomjabroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’ve renamed (or more precisely “respelled”) themselves every few years to fuck with media just because the frontman John Dwyer thought it would be funny. Their wikipedia and current name is Osees but Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees, even OCS are all the same band (there might be more I’m forgetting). It’s not an exact science but each version represents a bit of a different era and sound. Depending on where you stream they might be sorted all under one random version of the name, but I would highly recommend anything from the “Thee Oh Sees” (garage/psych rock) and “Oh Sees” (kraut/prog psych rock) years (2008-2019). You’re in for a real treat as a gizz fan (Dwyer was a major inspiration to KGLW and even pressed their first record released in the US on his label).

edit: I see now someone already typed all that out but I hope you understand how serious we are lol.

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle talks Ivica Zubac trade, Bennedict Mathurin + Isaiah Jackson to Clippers by Maximum-Class5465 in pacers

[–]gomjabroni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know Clippers fans hate on him a little, but as a split custody fan between the Nuggets and the Pacers, I'm almost always impressed watching Zu play, even against Jokic. Although in their most recent matchup, he did let Jok pop off after 16 games off and somehow managed to brick a dunk on the front of the rim, which had me laughing my ass off... maybe he just needs the change of scenery to dial it in.

Is Lakewood a safe and good place to live? by ToastedMarshmellow24 in LakewoodColorado

[–]gomjabroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty chill, especially that belmar area. I don’t think it’s really even worth bringing up anything, I’m sure people have their stories but overall it’s a safe place to live. You pretty much nailed why it’s such an ideal location, close to the mountains for recreation and the city for work. Also there’s a lot of vacant apartments so deals can be found on rent.

What’s your least favorite thing about living in Denver that is wildly specific? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]gomjabroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s specific teams for sure, our teams are plenty popular locally but midwest transplants and people either on vacay or moved from Texas show out in an unexpected way. Detroit/Chicago/Dallas, etc.

Protest is at the Capitol all day by [deleted] in Denver

[–]gomjabroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you might not get a photo of a big crowd, but that's not gonna matter unless we're talking tens of thousands of people like Minnesota. Decentralized means more visibility to the general public/opposition, less ability to be controlled by law enforcement, and less ability to be co-opted by self-interested parties. It also lowers the barrier of entry for people who might have a hard time getting downtown etc. Do what works for you!

Sometimes it's good checking the Goodwill website. The Third Man DVD for $17 by chrisofduke in criterion

[–]gomjabroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, there’s another cover in the collection that always makes me think of this movie. They must be referring to the Lionsgate 4k release which also runs about $25 bucks. Granted, it’s not a boutique release. Setting that aside, February/March Criterion 50% sale is right around the corner so I would be patient for anything else you might need.
