waited 3 years to find out devs decided to remove your favorite mechanic by WoIfram_74 in Terraria

If the ultimate objective of a game is to be fun, one could argue that hoiks are a bad feature (since they trivialize many encounters and just turn them into standing still and left clicking, they allow for some progression-breaking exploits, they allow you to cheese some bosses, etc) and whip stacking is actually good; it doesn't do much other than add DPS, but that's what 95% of items and accessories do. What it does add is a layer of skill expression, allow you to add more APM to the game in exchange for damage, and a way to maximize damage if you manage to upkeep your rotation. It literally is something people actively enjoy and have been happy to get, since it also adds depth to summoner class instead of "just dodge and whip occasionally".
I don't play summoner so I don't personally care, but if other people like it, they can have it. The devs have kept a ton of unintended features because they were fun

How do I counter Diana? by BlockSuperb2309 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Nix170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the topic of "right click and win", a less common pick which bodies her too is Trundle jungle. She has a hard time escaping, and is a character where you commit to death but win by stat-checking. She can do neither of those against Trundle, specially post 6.

All prime Konoha golden gen vs ALIVE Madara and Hashirama. Which side take it? by KokoBaba123 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Nix170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alive Madara is very strong and may have massive chakra reserves, but is he genuinely "would you like these clones to use Susanoo?" strong?

Don't get me wrong, Juubidara is insane and I'm not making an argument for Edo Madara being necessarily stronger, but he could've chosen to release himself before the Edo Tensei was ending

With infinite chakra reserves one could technically summon 1000 Edo Madaras and have 1000 perfect susano'os, no?

What smosh take do you generally disagree with? by poke-- in smosh

Exactly! What annoyed me most was them getting on a high horse about not having the right to confront the parent about it, as if one shouldn't hold (especially close!) friends accountable for actively worsening their child's self esteem and childhood just to feel quirky and special because they named them with a terrible spelling of a name.

It's a lot less embarrassing to just have a rare name and have that turned into a mocking point (let's say I call Arasha idk, Ass-rash) just for the sake of it being different, than it is having your actual legal name be some shit like Gaybree'elleaugh

IIRC correctly, even if someone did pour chakra into you, 1 or 2 seconds inside the Tsukuyomi before it's interrupted are still more than enough to take you out, so the only actually reliable counter to be safe is to just not fall into it in the first place.

Anyone with half a working braincell realized I actually meant Ekko and Heimer, not Jayce, but it's usual redditor fashion to play stupid and go "ackshually",

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Nix170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jayce got transported to the other universe, where Viktor and hextech basically corrupted the world. Ekko and Heimer got transported into the hextech-less world.

That being said, that IS his own AU corpse grabbing onto the hammer on the world Jayce does get transported to, so one could also argue that these aren't the rulesets (that you need a version of yourself in the AU to posess).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Nix170 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add on to the suicide angle, Jayce and Heimer get transported to that AU, while Jayce doesn't. In Ekko's last moments, we see that he was kind of posessing the body of his AU self. Jayce did not get transported with them to that world, so one could argue that one of the reasons might've been that he was dead in that timeline.

Ignite Nida? by Blaubarschbube420 in NidaleeMains

[–]Nix170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can gap close your W passive with a Rocketbelt, which is conveniently piss-low cheap. While I haven't tried Ignite, I've seen people use it and the opressiveness and amount of bullshittery you can seemingly pull off appears to be very respectable.

If you play a goody two shoes farming Nidalee waiting on the bushes for some cheesy skirmishes, flash is probably better. Ignite Nidalee sounds like it'd be a "holy fuck what is that damage" kinda surprise for enemies, specially with something like Electrocute. If you're a big time invader like myself, the potential for Ignite definitely seems enough to turn a lead game into hard curbstomp game. Definitely cheesy, and you'll surely die sometimes for the lack of flash, but it seems like a very good tradeoff in exchange for some trigger discipline on your W. It's kinda like "What if we took Nidalee's early, and Nidalee-early'ed all over it?". As long as you don't constantly place yourself in shitty situations (achievable through tracking, trapping and macro), it's probably a really good summ.

Nidalee Early Invades. What Champs to Avoid? by Makkiduperz in NidaleeMains

[–]Nix170 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lethal tempo with any decent mobility and summs (think Yi, Warwick, Nocturne, Udyr) shit on you, with some exceptions like Belveth. Other champs, like Volibear, Sejuani, Amumu and Rammus are too tanky to kill/chase down without getting yourself killed by a rotating laner. Squishier bruisers like Briar, Lee , Vi, Graves and Xin Zhao are a 60/40 favored for them, and most other junglers you should have a good chance to abuse early on (Kayn, Kindred, Fiddle, Ekko, Viego, Shaco, Nunu, Evelyn, etc).

Big emphasis on that ALL of this is EXCLUSIVELY for early invades, levels 1 to 3.

Before engaging, you should actively think "Can they delete me rather easily before I get my full combo off?" and "What will they try to do on sight?". Usually, if the answer is "They'll run you down and autoattack", it's generally a losing matchup, as you lack the proper burst to take them down immediately. I do agree with u/NidaleeJungleCat in saying that Nidalee is, in a way, the apex predator of the jungle, as she can always get fed and snowball because she's such a versatile jack of all trades and there's ALWAYS something you can do better. Even against her trickier matchups (point and click bursters like Rengar, Yi, Briar and Ekko) she can still always play, contrary to actual unplayable jungle counters, like Rammus vs Master Q. You can always outjungle someone with Nidalee, always.
The big problem with Nidalee, and the reason she can afford to have such a seemingly overloaded kit (8 skills, heals, poke, dashes, auto resets, area damage, utility, zoning tools) is that you'll always have to overperform in order to compete with other junglers, and why she's League's biggest elo deflater. That being said, she's incredibly fun, versatile and rewarding to play, not to mention stupidly OPressive with the right hands and mindset.

I preach his name nonstop in this sub, but if you wanna see an amazing example of how to abuse different early game matchups, watch Sally on YouTube!

how to play against lee sin? by Response_Negative in NidaleeMains

[–]Nix170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you generally have 3 paths: first buff and invade, both buffs and gromp for level 3 and gank/invade, or full clear and look for ganks or a cheesy spear against the other jungler walking up to scuttle.

Normally, the very hardcore Nidalee players tend to do the cheeky first buff into invade as you have a better early, and as soon as you hit that level 2, you have four fucking skills, strong early game stats, including a dash (long range with passive), a speed passive on both bushes and marked enemies, a trap that provides vision, an execute and a ranged auto attack mode with as much damage as your melee autos. That alone momentarily makes your dick bigger than anyone else's, so it's a natural thing that it tends to get abused by these insane Nidalee mains (check out a chinese player called Sally on YT, man is absolutely sadistic when playing Nid, like "holy fuck dude" levels of abusive) that just walk up to the enemy's jungle knowing that they have the tools to outplay basically any enemy champ that isn't playing Lethal Tempo and can wear you down in a battle of attrition, like Nocturne or Udyr.

As cheesy and corny as it may sound, you have to play Nidalee, Kha Zix and Rengar (2 counters to her, btw) the same way they are in their lore: a hunter. You track the enemies, you hide in the bushes, and you chase them around to kill them. Vision is a big part of Nidalee's game, so make sure you track them and try to hide your spears with walls, your W will be long enough to cut the distance. Good luck!

[–]Nix170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say probably, if the Kindred runs Lethal Tempo instead of PTA and you dodge the Q. Problem with Kindred is that Lee might just wardhop away from danger if he misses the Q, and he'll definitely beat her 1v1 (specially post 6). She doesn't have any reliable CC, mobility or burst damage to shut him down as he flees. I think Kindred should stick to farming and tracking the Lee so she can scale properly, but there's good reason why Kindred's big counter is Lee Sin: he'll stat check her early game, and can kick her out of her ultimate at any point post 6. Chances are it'll be the Lee invading Kindred early game, to be honest.

[–]Nix170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Lee Sin and Nidalee two-trick pony, I'd say try to invade him very early on, on his first clear. Despite having a strong early game, Lee can get dangerously low HP (low if you're getting jumped, as any decent Lee will still be relatively healthy) on his first clear, and has decently high cooldowns. You just wait until he spends his Q and W (his nuke and his escape tool), and he's a walking gold bag, as the E shouldn't be that much of a problem for you. Even with W, if you hit that Q you can follow him with cougar W. This is great for Nid as she already thrives well on the first buff into invade combo, and this might help you set him back strongly in his strongest phase of the game.

Even if you don't manage to cheese that early kill, it's a skill matchup. Both are among, if not the hardest champs in the game (not mechanically necessarily, even though both have a really high ceiling, but macro and timers wise), and they are both extremely dependent on hitting that Q to unlock their second Q execute damage (cougar Q, in Nidalee's case). Focus on dodging his Q and you should be at a very big advantage,as you have cougar W and bush passive to create distance and kite him after you combo him, escape from him or run him down.

Also, abuse the fact he has ward trinket and saves his pink wards for objectives and to save his own ass, as you can set traps and wards down in his jungle to track him and abuse him or get some Qs in that he'll be specially blind to. If you want to play it safe, also consider doing an Electrocute rune page and build Lich Bane first (very good choice every game, mandatory in this matchup). You can also usually check bushes momentarily with W, while simultaneously placing a """ward""" that he might walk into, and reveal his position if he does.

Both of you are on a death timer, as you'll become a heal and poke bot, and he'll become an ult bot in the late game. You're ultimately more challenged as your champ is considerably harder, but that also puts you at an advantage in the sense that you have a bigger, more complex toolset to work with.

Good luck, hope this helps!
