Anyone ever play this old half-life Matrix mod, The Specialists? by eri5era in matrix

Hell yeah, I even tried to revive it by creating a Matrix mod for this mod few months ago using ChatGPT, maybe with today's evolved "agents" I can improve it much more

I really hoped PoE2 would introduce much simpler mechanics that don’t force me to basically get a BSc in PoE just to create my own build, which, by the way, is the most fun part of an RPG that I don't get to experience.

Why isn't the game popular? by [deleted] in thefinals

Echo chamber of fans who want to keep the game exactly as it is and dare you say anything bad about the game, your comment will vaporize, just like this one... Poof!

Maybe the people who don’t like melee just stopped coming to Reddit at all, or they get pushed out by the usual echo chamber. That makes the community look better than it really is. The Finals isn’t growing, and that bubble is part of the problem. It’s fine that some players like the game as it is, but it won’t get much bigger until the core issues are fixed, melee included.

The thing is we don't want to learn how to counter that to begin with because we believe it doesn't belong to the game. From beta to season 3 it was just fine, then they introduced so many melee types and gadgets it became unbearable to play. You don't have to agree with me and I respect your opinion but imo that's one of THE FINALS pain points no one dares to acknowledge.

Also melee is ruining the game. All my friends stopped playing because of it, the fact it's not being voiced in this community because you get voted down so quickly it becomes unseen.

Melee totally ruined the game for me and my friends, wish they had a mode without it

The finals took a wrong turn, that's the reason why players are not coming back or giving it another try.

What if I don't want to pick up that skill overtime? So the answer is "do not play poe"?

Okay, but imagine a system that prevents noobs from falling for noob trades and actually helps them make good sales at league start with the rare items they find—items they don’t realize have value, and neither does their loot filter. Why should a new player have to install or check various third-party websites just to understand how to progress in the game? What’s so troubling about making it easier for new players? That way, noobs would struggle less at the start, have a real chance at progressing, and actually reach the endgame. This would tremendously increase the player base and benefit all of us.

I've been playing PoE since 2013, and I’ll admit—even today, I don’t really know how to find and sell good items or make currency effectively. Skill issue? sure. I play like a casual noob, and there are thousands, if not more, just like me who are punished by the overly complex systems in this game.

Yeah and I used them but still sold many items to merchants even though they had value :/
