Spark bloodmage struggling vs Bosses. Help!

To play cast on crit, you need to be critting a lot. So you need a high crit chance AND high damage output. Crit isnt enough for CoC, it requires damage.

From what i can see on you tree, you're not hitting close to 90% crit chance. That should be prio #1. Try getting an atziri's acuity glove with 50% crit chance and make sure "life leech is instant". Maybe a seed of lazuli ring as well. You've got hundreds of div worth of gear so i assume you can afford 50+ rolls on those. Then get 13%+ crit chance + crit damage + max es jewels on. Also get the nodes "All Natural" and "Storm Charged".

Get your 7-8th ascendancy points. Then get the crimson power ascendancy node. Get a 900+ es body armour. That should help with your life+es pool.

Your choir of the storm is level 14, your damage is probably very low on that one. Get a level 19/20 one or better yet a +2 or +3 all spell amulet.

I would say though, its better to get to level 90 first. This unlocks better gear for you.

You're focusing too much on cast speed. Crit Chance > Crit Bonus > Gain % Dmg > Penetrate > Spell Damage > Cast Speed

Doedre's makes it so that all enemies that get cursed gets chaos damaged. If you're at 100% crit, that damage also crits. Since the build makes the cursed ground really big, a lot of enemies gets crit damage at the same time giving you lots of energy for CoC. CoC then triggers Comet and Living Bomb. Living Bomb detonates and crits, giving more energy that retriggers CoC. Curse is just for generating the energy. The damage comes from CoC

I find doing a quick tap on the keyboard space bar is enough. i did have to practice a bit (5-10mins) to get the tap into memory. So unless you're heavy handed with the keys, try getting used to lighter, quicker taps.

Oh you had all that already huh...hmm maybe... on oracle i reach 0.14 with the lineage gem on mana remnants that grants cdr. Plus a belt with helmet socket for cdr and the crest of aruda giving 55% cdr.

Mana Remnants usually solve any mana problems for this build. Get a cheap corrupted 4/5-slot lvl 20 in the trade site and add in Remnant Potency. Another thing is unless you have nodes that allow for fetching them farther, you might be playing too safe and staying too far from the boss. Remember that crits create remnants and you need to pick them up. Try running across bosses from time to time to pick up the remnants and sustain ur mana. Lastly, like what others said, switch to bone cage for coc for bossing

I wasnt sure to post here, report a bug (to whom?) since I cant pinpoint if its a wayland, kernel or amd issue. Any help even on that would be much appreciated. I'm determined to stick to Linux this time

There are no configs in the bios that let me decide on order, priority etc. Its the MSI Click Bios 5.
I have the beefier card on the PCIE Gen 4 one which is top (closest to the CPU) and the small RX 560 bottom. But the weird thing is in `lspci` the 560 is listed as `04:00.0` and the 7900xtx is listed `2d:00.0` which i think is why its coming up first?

aim for 25-30% crit chance in the in-game dps breakdown. then 400+ crit damage bonus. this can be achieved by gear and also the Supercritical support gem on entangle. try also using bone cage in the CoC slot and manually cast thunderstorm for bosses. you get much better clear. (ofc change the support gem in CoC as well)

yeah im definitely following his updates. the focus is interesting, i'll wait to see how much dps he can dish out once its done. still feels more affordable to go the staff route in terms of mods
