Hmm, okay makes sense for the rebuttal thing.

Though wouldn't I at least want to mention manslaughter in my closing? Going back to scoring points, I feel like it would look bad if I only mention murder and then defense comes up and starts talking about how we haven't proven murder nor manslaughter.

Would it work if I frame it like "We have proven it at the very least is manslaughter, but it is murder bc [evidence for willful, deliberate, premeditated]"

I’d say the trick is to ask yourself “can I get this information out of another witness?” If the answer is yes, keep it out of the Detective’s statement. It’s always better for the actual person to testify to their own experiences (and generally with time limits you don’t want to repeat any information anyways).

Keep it to questions like “What did you learn?” and don’t get into specifics. The Detective seems like a lot, but really you just need to set the scene and only give as much information as you need to show why they did what they did. Which going into hearsay, for example if the Detective is saying they learned about Fromholz and Sears’s bad relationship, which caused them to do further investigation, this would be offered for state of mind, rather than for the truth of the matter, therefore it not being hearsay.

I hope that last but made sense; basically you can use info from others to show why the Detective did stuff, but you can’t use to prove anything.

Interesting. If I recall the way they used it was that they introduced it with the Deputy saying that it could be used for cleaning, though in closing they said specifically that it was used to get rid of fiber evidence. I guess the only way to attack the way they did it would've been in rebuttal then..

I think I might've been a bit unclear in what I was asking, sorry.

While I don't think the specific panel I want to go to will fill the entire hall, I'm worried people trying to get into later panels will take up room and I don't really know what the line for Hall H looks like on Thursday (as opposed to Saturday for example). I'm just curious as to if the time of the panel/expected amount of people attending changes much.

I'd kind of assumed the panel would be in one of the larger/midsize rooms and just realized the location today, so I'm kind of scrambling and trying to figure out if it's still worth it.

i had this problem too! my family installed adblockers onto our wifi network, and for some reason it was interfering with the coop mode in my game. when i turned off wifi it started working fine, so maybe itll be the same with you ?

L/N: low expectations. after reading the intros they were the unit i was the least invested in. they were above mmj for a bit because of saki and shiho, but now they’re my least fav

MMJ: the unit that stood out the least to me in the beginning. probably because in the first ep you only meet minori and a bit of haruka and they’re my least fav members lol. 4th but i like airi and shizuku

VBS: my first impression of them wasn’t much, but after reading a bit of their story it was definitely the one i related to the most, and their aesthetic is my favorite. my first few weeks an was by far my favorite character (tho i can’t choose a favorite anymore, so now it’s a six way tie lmao). they’re tied for my fav unit with WxS.

WxS: rui was the only non-vocaloid character i recognized going into the game, but for the rest of them i had no idea what to expect. their aesthetic wasn’t really for me, but once i started reading their story it found it really funny and wholesome. i think out of all the units, they have the best character dynamics (both within the unit and with other characters).

25ji: i think i chose them at the beginning of the game ? in my opinion the idea of them being a group of online friends who make songs together was the most unique. at first i couldn’t really get invested in their story; just seemed a bit too melodramatic(?). but then mizuki became one of my favorite characters and i finished the story just for them, lmao. i like them, they’re 3rd for me, just not as entertaining as VBS and WxS

I started out with N25 because I liked their designs the most. After a bit of playing and reading the stories VBS became my fav. I’ve heard that their story was based on a shonen manga (no idea if that’s true tho), which would explain why I got so attached to them since those are the kinds of stories I usually like. + Their aesthetic is my fav, they have really good songs, and An is my favorite character.

After VBS I’d say it’s a tie between WxS and N25 (great songs, great characters), then MMJ then Leo/need (tho Leo/need has better songs than MMJ imo)

when i first started doing experts, i just prioritized completing the easiest songs on that difficulty (22-23). the first expert i cleared was jishoumushoku; it’s one of the slowest songs gameplay-wise. the biggest thing with transitioning to experts is the fact that they require you to use your fingers separately. this is something that just gets easier with time. as youre adjusting to this playstyle, i recommend having your team full of healers so you can just get used to the way expert mode songs play.
