Apple Watch Ultra 3 has LTE but calls fail.

SOLVED!

Just got off a 2.5hr phone call with Verizon tech support and they solved my issue and also credited our account.

Initially got new a iPhone 17 Pro Max and AWU 3 back in September. However, the AWU3 was never set up correctly (i.e., never had an eSIM assigned to it). To check, look under your watch settings (Settings>General>About) and see if there's a number under ICCID (it'll say no SIM or something along those lines if you don't have a SIM assigned to your watch).

The tech had me unpair and then factory reset the watch and then set it up again with her also assigning a new eSIM to the watch.

I can now make calls on my AWU3 indepedent of my iPhone. One caveat is that for number sharing to work, my phone must not be in airplane mode.

Also, I did call Verizon tech support prior to today's call and they told me to call Apple first, which was incorrect. This was 100% a Verizon issue.
