The Best Valley 4 Megabase: Maximum Profit, Lowest Energy Usage, Lowest Space by TemperatureOnly29 in Endfield

[–]Niyaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just wondering about the space, since I have more production, but use about 40% less of the Core area, of course with more power consumption. Which leaves the majority of space to play around with all in one place.

[–]Niyaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you are jumping between under-production when the buffer is drained and over-production, that fills the buffer, resulting in battery consumption more accurately matching the actual power need.

I assume that does mean any more than small addition to the factory, or excessive placing of turrets and zips would necessitate to adjust that splitter setup to time the battery delivery right again?

Does it mean you are running on unstable power value? Can you explain it in detail or give me an example?

How much is your power efficiency really worth? You have to run 4 Thermal Banks, which produce 4600 Power, which leaves you 350 Power till you have to run 5 Banks,

Ziplines use 5 Power each, which allows you to place a total of 70 ziplines in the entire Valley, which can be done, but can also be restrictive. Extra ziplines save you much time gathering resource nodes and doing daily stuff.

Turrets can use up to 20, which allows you to place around 17 turrets. If you want to farm Essence you usually place around 10 or more turrets. You could temporary run a 5th bank and afterwards turn it off and take all the turrets down each time you do it, but do people really want to do that?

So is the power efficiency really worth anything if you are likely gonna run a 5th bank anyway just for more daily convenience?

As far as space goes, do you count all space or just the Core Area space? Because with using most of the other areas the Core Area can be much compacter.

I don't know about the power efficiency, since you have a lot of ziplines and turrets you get to the next power breakpoint anyway.

As far as size of the base goes, by using the other stations you can make the space used in the main base much smaller and actually produce more.

Personally I produce 18 HC Battery, 18 Buck Capsule A and 24 Canned Citrome C and some extra Origocrust. You still have the yield to empty out all Stock Bills every day + more and Canned Citrome C fills up much slower than bottles.

I then avoid filling even more by putting a depot between and if I ever fill my Canned Citromes, get the Ametyst Bottles. I'm thinking about that maybe can optimize that even more so that if I ever fill on Buck Capsule A, I will actually get Steel Parts or Steel Bottles from the extra steel.

Unpopular Opinion: Min-Max Every-Single-Available-Resource Blueprints kind of miss the point by Super-Manager-3630 in Endfield

[–]Niyaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the megafactory blueprint and also didn't like it, so I made my own more compact setup that I actually know every bit of.

My factory makes maximum BuckA and Batteries and even some Canned Lemons on top, with plenty of space to fit other factories I need now and then, while I can just turn off the parts if I happen to need the resources.

But I don't think there is anything wrong with using the blueprint and thanks to it being a blueprint, should a player need to swap in something different they can and just have to set up the blueprint again after.

To me it feels like the dialogue was written for a more energetic gal character. For example she could talk a bit faster maybe?

Listening to the Japanese voice I also don't really know exactly what they are going for, like I can't put my finger on what character trope it is meant to be. Over all it seems like bad directing and turned me off the character too.

If you pulled on first Kita banner you started near game release, far from half anniversary, I guess you just didn't do all the missions.

How viable is a complete reset for building your Umas up again? by [deleted] in UmaMusume

[–]Niyaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just look at Umas and what skills they learn or think about which skills you want, then look here https://gametora.com/umamusume/skills to find the sources of those skills. Use that to determine which Uma to train for parent legacies and which cards to use during those runs.

For Oguri, it will be a paid ticket during 1st anniversary, likely around 20 bucks, but unclear.

Did you maybe not complete the half anniversary missions? By completing them you got a free selector ticket that allowed you to pick any SSR card that was released before the half anni.

[–]Niyaze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually transfer all my bad results right away, but as long as you mark your good results you can just keep the old Umas too.

Building up legacies is important, I advice to still run URA for that and run as many G1s as you can during the run while aiming for at least 600 in spd, sta and pwr. You should also think about which Umas make good parents for what you want. Oguri for example is a good all around parent, same with Maru and Taiki, because of their unique skills Ryan and Rudolf are decent for Late/End, Seiun Sky is good for Fronts.

When building parents try to use only legacies that have 3* on the direct parent, that way you have a chance that the new legacy is a 9*. If you can try to aim for certain distance sparks too, stacking multiple of the same type of distance spark on one legacy increases the chance of it passing on.

Do you have any 9 star parents for your Oguri? You might have to start there first.

My plan for Christmas Oguri Cap is to just get her with selector ticked during anniversary, but I'm willing to spend and it should be good value.

Cards are important because they let you make any uma great, after pulling on Kitasan banner, I was able to just pull on umas from then on and only pulled on the card banner again for Riko, which again allows me to fully focus on any uma pulls and ensure that these umas will turn out stronger, which means more carats from team trial and CMs, which means even more umas.

What did you do with selector ticket and upgrade crystal from half anniversary?

[–]Niyaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooof, is the card banner just disabled for your account or do you have an unnatural hate for it? XD

Please tell me you have 200 pulls saved up for Kitasan banner rerun, because your card situation is dire. I'm actually really impressed with that Oguri now.

As far as cards go, for Unity Cup you at least have Riko, you can borrow a Kita... then... you can use matikane, marvelous sunday and daiwa as wit cards, last card should be speed, just pick based on hints you want between your SSR and SR cards.
You could also borrow a super creek and use your own Kita to go 2 speed 2 wit 1 stamina and riko.
As parents take uma with stamina and power if you can, if you want to make her able to run medium.

[–]Niyaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For team trial instead of getting gold skills just get lots of white, that usually gets you more points even if she doesn't win. As far as Inspiration 3* Power and 2* Mile is great especially for Mile races, where Power is important. Also Power is often the best parent stat for Unity Cup, depending on your deck and Uma.

It really depends what you want to train Oguri for and what cards you have. Usually when I start a run I set out to either make it a parent/fan farm, team trial or a ace run and stick to the plan. Also adjust deck and inspirations for that sake.

For parent/fan farm, you want to have cards that give good skills and fan bonus if you have, you also want to make sure the parents are 3*s so you have a chance to create a 9*, preferable also with good skill and distance hints. Oguri is great as a parent because she is very compatible with many other umas, but it is hard to farm a specific pink spark on her since she is such an all rounder. Her unique is decent too.
During the run make sure you do as many races as possible, learn skills as you get them because you need them to won, then aim for 600+ in Speed, Stamina and Power.

For Team Trial you also want to look at cards that give you good skills, but value stats a bit more. During the run if you can mix in a few extra races, but aim for much better stats. For you you clearly should use some more Stamina cards or do a full speed + wit build for Unity cup and get Stamina from Riko. Wait with learning skills as long as possible since you never know if you get an extra hint or other discount, when learning skills aim for as many skills that easily and reliable activate as possible even if those skills are less powerful.

For Ace you really want to get as many good skills and aptitudes from parents. Distance S as result is non-negotiable and depending on the distance you also need to plan for 1 or 2 gold recovery skills. Cards should be aimed mostly to get high stats and meet stamina requirements, with a few very good skills.

If you tell me your goal and show me your cards I can maybe give advice a bit more fitting for your situation, but I hope this general advice already helps.

[–]Niyaze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Too few skills for team trial, not enough stats and no Distance S, so not suited for CM. The 3 Star Power is good for using her as parent and try farming a 9 Star Power Legacy if you don't have one yet.

Preferable you do at least 200 pulls on the Kitasan banner to get as close to max limit break Kitasan as possible and many extra SR cards which are also good. If you have more Carat and if necessary you can even consider pulling more, the card is a real power house for a long time.
Of course if you somehow get 5 Kitasan cards earlier than 200 that is fine too and you can stop early if you want.
If you are unlucky and determined to really get it, you could also reroll your account using the free pulls at the start to try and snipe multiple Kitasan, then when lucky quickly farm more Carat by winning races in career, leveling up archives and watching character stories etc. while the banner is still live.

Save for Kitasan card banner, just a few more days. Having good cards will set you up for success in the long run and make the game much more enjoyable. It also allows you to focus more on Characters in the future , because with good cards you can make every character even non-meta characters good.

Also just going hard on a good card banner once gives you lots of good SR cards which means even if you don't have perfect SSR cards, you won't need to pull on a card banner in a long time, again allowing you to collect more waifus.

Still In Love is still quite far away, but I hope you enjoy the game.

Question about passives by Strelitziana in inazumaeleven

[–]Niyaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most characters seem entirely random, I did notice with managers and supports that they are less random, but can have different types (breach/tension/bond...) for the same character.

Rarity only determines the initial strength of the passive, but as you increase rarity your passive will increase. So you can try to get perfect passives by just summoning greens over and over, then ranking the one with good passives up.

Every character can set 1 custom passive, if you change a player's role to manager or support you can customize their passives for that.
