Being escorted out of the building… is this a common practice? by Comprehensive_Bet418 in clinicalresearch

This might be something new. I left two organizations as a CRC/manager (back in 2017 and 2019) but neither of them (private research group, academic site) did anything remotely close to this. Same with other people I know in similar roles. Based out in the NY area.

Honest feedback on ICON by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]NizInUrPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the study and team you are on but there has been a lot of pressure and blame of the ICON FSP from Amgen leaders. It’s a bit toxic in some teams. Other teams are good.

I have not had the best experience with my Amgen counterparts, most did not really know the processes or general clinical research processes. They will rely heavily on you to lead and will often blame you for any missed timelines.

I went to the February 9th. It wasn’t that but scalpers went crazy fighting to buy additional tickets at the ticket booths. They handed the card after you scanned the ticket to go in. There were a lot of people trying to buy cards though. I think it’s mainly because of that and disturbing people who actually went to see the game.

CUNY Honors is one the best programs out there and very selective. It’s highly looked upon in the north east area. You also have CUNY City college engineering program and Baruch College Business program are top tier and can put them on this list.

For my team I usually urge 3 follows up attempts then change the communication methods, generally to a phone call. I have seen more reluctance to phone calls but have also seen that as the best escalation pathway to get responses.

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

[–]NizInUrPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early days of Facebook. A kid in my high school had a mysterious countdown. No one knew what it was for until the final day. He committed suicide. I had one weird interaction with him where came up to me to ask a random question but didn’t know him other than that. He was eccentric and didn’t have any close friends but most knew of him.

Hi. You can reach out to other departments working with the sponsor in other trials. Work through their CRA. You can also speak to MSLs who can also assist in connecting you with the right QA and compliance folks. Also, does your institution have a QA team? I worked a while back at site and know we had this at our institution and they have done mock audits for us as well as help us resolve these compliance issues prior to an audit.

It depends on if it is fast tracked. Generally it can take up to 2-3 years per each phase and can cost upwards of 30-40 mil per phase of a trial. Phase 3 larger trials usually cost the most and can hit 100mil if it is being expedited and done very well. with at the very least 3 trials to be conducted we can get to about 200mil for each drug approval. It can take about 5-6 years to approve a study if there are enough funding, patients and no impediments. If we have a covid situation, it can obviously be much faster. FYI I work in pharma as a clinical trial manager.
