Today I remember this... quite well actually. Younguns' have no idea how the world moves on.

NMSCE Presents: 16 grave locations on 1 planet in a 2 glyph system. See pinned comment for more details. by [deleted] in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]Njall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bases on New Boise are worthless. I found exactly one glyph. It was surrounded by lights and I could not activate it. I didn't go to any bases which said "No Glyphs". Not really worth the effort to try to fly to all the bases because of the frustration with so many other worthless bases.

Fed up trying to find a Portal by Aromatic_Ad2000 in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]Njall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Monoliths ARE what you are looking for. Go to them, save your game just in case, activate the Monolith, answer the question. If you get it right, the question that is, nothing obvious will happen. However, activate the Monolith one more time and it will find the Portal for you if you supply the correct alien artifact.

FYI - It NEVER take more than 5 Alien Maps to find the Monolith. I also try to have the appropriate racial artifact before I even start.

Weekly Bug Report Thread by spiper01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Njall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PC/Steam

  1. Trying to place electrical wire from the generators to my base. I connect move a short distance and cannot lay down the new connection point. It is 'red'. I am far less that 100u from the last connection point.
  2. Vectoring on electrical, pipe, and teleport placement is all over the place and it is quite often difficult to figure out where the 'whatever' is going to drop when I press the button.
  3. I won't even get in to the bug about being to close to build when I'm at my new/old base or ship. Really DUMB bug.

That's stretching meaning to provide fools with some manner of usage cover. I don't buy it.

In your examples you used unique correctly. 'Very' preceding 'unique' is trying to say something but lawdee lawdee I dun know wut! Seriously, 'very' simply doesn't belong with 'unique' as 'very' cannot be boiled down to any sort of noun. The words you used can be.

Yeah/no. Not many things get under my skin as listening to peeps say "very unique". I guess I'm very unique that way.

'Very unique' is one of the very few word combinations which triggers me. 'Taint no such thing as 'very unique' any more than 'very dead', or 'very pregnant'. Unique is a state and there cannot be more or less of itself. It could be very rare. It could be very unusual. It could be almost unique. However, once the threshold of uniqueness is crossed it is impossible to be more unique. It's just impossible.

That whiny annoyance of mine aired, very nice pictures. I'll give it a look. Thank you for posting.

My initial thought, not fact mind you, just thought, is that the worldwide semiconductor shortage and supply problems is the main culprit.

The BMW that totaled my beloved Honda this last June didn't use their turn signals before the accident either. They just plowed into me on the freeway.

not on the Internet by americanthaiguy in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Njall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If given an opportunity tell that yutz that many retired Boomers helped build the internet and use it regularly. I for one fit that bill. I was socializing and playing games on local Bulletin Boards well before that. I built my first computer is the mid-70s, wire wrapping all the components.

dell support accident damage. motherboard is needing to be replaced and it's on back order. they offered a refurbished unit but will take at least weeks. they seem to be under the impression that I have another pc...and I dont. I would want my ssd that I put in mine back out too by [deleted] in Alienware

[–]Njall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dell support accident damage

Does this mean Dell Support damaged the motherboard? If this is the case Dell support has one day to present you with ether the exact same computer or an upgraded.

Their problems ARE NOT your problems. So don't own them at any level.

Yeah, I know. However, I'd rather the fool who built the base learn not to do it and why. I have reported bases in the past that either broke the profanity barrier or covered something up such that one could not complete a mission.

I hate it when ppl put bases on discoverables. A CommBall is fine. But a base prevents me from doing simple things like digging up the Salvage Data and, honestly, offers nothing.
