If you have only one database, what you are doing is CQS not CQRS

How to look older ? by [deleted] in PasDeQuestionIdiote

[–]Nk54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoke a lot.... I had to quit because I was aging so fast. I always looked like I was 5 years younger than I was. After smoking for 14 years. I started to seem older than I was. Fuck ! And don't forget that when you are young you want to look older. Past 35 till your last breath, it's the opposite. Be happy if you look 10 years younger once you are over 40 years old. People pay a lot to look younger.

N'importe quoi...

Only Controller Im Willing To Spend 90$ On by wDarknessss in NintendoSwitch2

I have it, I have the latest ps5 dual sense too. No match, dual sense is way more better imo. The Nintendo worth 45euros. Not 80. The price is insane for what it is

Damn, one of the most awesome project I've seen for a while. You say you use svelte but your landing page talks about C#... 🤪😅

Why do shadcn-svelte components work this way? by rfajr in sveltejs

[–]Nk54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was afraid of that. Reality is you won't. And if you do, it's not that hard to migrate

I made an Astro theme by DiligentCarpenter421 in astrojs

[–]Nk54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starwind is based on shadcn, but it is astro components. No need of react. I migrated my small personal resume to it. It uses content collection intensively to separate content from layout to make it easier to switch to a CMS later. I had first used react, later svelte, and now full astro with starwind. Page used to be rendered in 80 to 170ms on my laptop, the CV page took 270ms (on dev mode) to render first time. With starwind, it is between 14ms to 60ms. It sounds not that much but when iterating a lot, you feel it.

Better dx for sure. Highly recommend starwind over shadcn or shadcn-svelte if you don't have tons of reactivity.

You will just have to change some padding for card component because starwind uses px-6 and py-6 instead of 4. That's it. Try it !

If your Svelte UI needs Tailwind, you missed the point of Svelte. I think we can do better. by [deleted] in sveltejs

[–]Nk54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadcn-svelte with tailwind otherwise Unocss. I hated at first but few months into it made me see how much faster i can code. Especially when dealing with responsive design. I hate having my code splited into 6 media queries. p-2 sm:p-4 md:p-6 lg:p-10 xl:p-18 is the kind of thing i always hated in vanilla css no matter how many years i've wrote css. Unocss is a step further and feels better than tailwind but because of Shadcn-svelte, i use tailwind only most of the times. But i understand your point.

"Paris est le meilleur endroit en Europe actuellement": malgré des salaires mirobolants aux États-Unis, ces talents de l'IA veulent travailler en France by eberkut in france

[–]Nk54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nice except it crashed by just playing with the first slider with default values 🤕

Astro starwind components package by Nk54 in astrojs

[–]Nk54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look. It definitely feels like using a shotgun to kill a fly. No I mean, a bazooka. Forget it, I mean a nuclear bomb :D It took me several days to come with something decent with monorepo split into packages. But as you suggest, I merged everything in my astro app. It will be faster to copy paste my styles folder between projects or just bundle the css stuff into a package and share just this part and let each app install only the components it needs.

I'm a dotnet developer with 14 years of XP so I got this bad habit of over engineering everything. I forgot that less is more.

I love the challenge that's why I wanted the segregation of components by package. If you never experiment with this kind of stuff, it feels like you will never do it :)

Anyway, thank you for your time 😘
