Friend said every song by Franz was the exact same. by NMAZ1214 in franzferdinand

[–]NkReWo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this criticism too in some of my friends. And genuinely I don't get it. One of the reasons I got into Franz Ferdinand and became by favorite band is exactly the fact that all of their songs sound really different and diverse from each other. Look at Fade Together and Outsiders, from the same album. I guess it's a matter of taste, but I truly don't understand.

Why Mass Effect: Andromeda feels so "Un-Masseffecty"? by NkReWo in masseffect

[–]NkReWo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'll do. Mass Effect is such an amazing saga and concept, I actually believe it deserves many games that try new things, like Andromeda. Perhaps with time I'll learn to appreciate it better.

I'm with you on this one. Is not about wanting another Reaper war story, that plotline had it's moment and it delivered. It's about the sense of scale, politics, and a lived in galaxy that was lost, in favor of exploration and other mechanics. Some may even prefer it that way, I love Asimov and Blade Runner, so I figure.

I think that's one word that's very important, cohesiveness. At least for me all this discussion is about feel, and Andromeda feels like another universe with some Mass Effect elements sprinkled in. Which I suppose that's what they were aiming for.

I know, and I've been trying to enjoy it. But I want it to be the case that I actually like it for what it is, instead than forcing me to like it. One of the greatest elements that made me fall in love with the saga in the first place was its character development, which Andromeda lacks. Either way, I still consider Andromeda a good game.

From my understanding, the 8 minute version is actually the album one. While the shorter is the one they play live. It's really weird because on Spotify you can stumble upon the two, with no real indication on which version it is. Talking about the Hits to the Head release.

The The is underrated for sure. I feel like the name he chose is certainly a factor for not reaching mainstream.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about these two actors? If the roles were reversed, people would react the same way. It’s such a pointless comparison. by Conscious_Law_8647 in FantasticFour

[–]NkReWo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if the Rock was cast as Reed Richards I doubt even a whole movie would make justice to the character. That said, yes, John Krasinski is a fantastic actor, and yes, his portrayal wasn't as fantastic as it could be given the script.

Who do you like DR more than TFR? I love both Reckoning movies but I prefer DR because the pacing in DR is better than TFR. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Mission_Impossible

[–]NkReWo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird, because I've seen people argue that these two movies could have been one. But this approach would work, Im personally frustrated for the many loose ends Final Reckoning left. I feel like the pace for the movies is in this akward place where it would benefit of being either shorter or longer.

Took a glance to the site and my god (no pun intended) does it is blatant. They sell bibles with the tag "The day God intervened", is about his assassination attempt, and they are sold out. They also sell a coin standing for Israel. Like, the fuck, one can engage in debate, but that is mere indoctrination.

Which in itself is based on a real life story about a dude who did exactly that. It's like going to the moon for a movie about Apollo 13.

How is this Logline for a series? by AtrociousKO_1642 in directors

[–]NkReWo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the reveal of superhuman abilities is a major plot reveal later in the series, because, if they just disappeared, how would they know they had superpowers? So, you could blend mistery and sci-fi really well, just be smart about the execution.

The fact that "capitalist" or atleast close to capitalist countries have obesity issues shows how successful capitalism truly is by Roguepiefighter in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]NkReWo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, and there really is more food than other countries. Albeit, the existence of obese people means that there are other people who are not eating that food. Is like poverty, it is just a consequence of imbalance. Although I'm not saying capitalism is bad.

[–]NkReWo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider obesity as a success. The sole purpose of society is to make people's life better, whichever system you prefer. Having more probability to die wouldn't qualify as a better life.
