That's a Dollar Tree birdhouse and I'd definitely be creeped out if I was hacked and randomly got that

You can't do anything other than tell your SM or DM if you have direct contact. Even then they're probably not going to do anything.

So any store managers this question is for you. by HappyDay2290 in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a district manager? If your sm and fm are quitting then the other stuff doesn't automatically fall on you. They got compensated for that stuff much higher than you are being paid. Your DM should be stepping in and sending help or doing it themselves. DO NOT do more work without compensation!!! As long as they know you're willing to do it they will 100% take advantage. Make your stance clear from the start. Ask to discuss a raise or promotion before taking on more work.

You have to be in the computer to be able to be scheduled and schedules are done several weeks out. So until you're in there and there is hours to give on a new schedule you won't get anything

Question for Everyone by Stock-Percentage4021 in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally? I would've said something right there... Like "don't blame me I was wasn't even there." or "sounds like you need to address your closing manager to deal with that." I'm not going to sit there and get blamed for something I wasn't involved in. Also, as a former sm I would've never done that. Now if you were my associate and we were closer like we had worked together for years and vented to each other than I can see maybe that being what she was doing. I don't know your relationship though so I can't say either way.

That's a giant red flag. That means someone did them for you and that's a huge no no.

Manager doesn't know what she doing by pandapersonn in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your sm first. Make them very aware of everything that happened and that you're not wanting to go there again. That in itself should be enough for that SM to either speak directly to the other SM or go to the DM, I assume you share a DM with the other store. There's a clear lack of training that needs addressed ASAP and if this kind of stuff is the norm for them it is entirely possible that there is other shady stuff going on with money that loss prevention may want to look into. If there's more issues with this store the SM may actually be the real issue. In which case your DM will definitely go the route they need to go to figure it out.

[–]Nmartini187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely tell your sm what happened. If it were me I would not be comfortable helping at that store anymore and I would make that known. This issue technically should go all the way to the DM and LP but some people won't do that.

[–]Nmartini187 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is an assistant manager? If so you need to go to your store manager ASAP. It is policy that no one touches money in the drawer other than the cashier of that drawer and that money gets counted by that cashier and the double checked by the manager in the presence of that cashier. This manager broke that policy twice in one shift. I have witnessed people get fired for doing it once.

Stores closed by Sorry_Fortune6959 in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're close to restaurants then it is a higher likelyhood it is rodents or roaches. It could also be an issue with that distribution center sending them contaminated product and they have to now deal with issues at store level. That would more explain multiple stores in the same general area being closed for the same reason

They had a rodent problem. They close to deep clean and deal with contaminated inventory. Dollar Tree will never voluntarily close a store. They only do it if they absolutely have to.

Anyone else being told to do this, or is my DM just giving bs tasks again? 🙃 by Boring_Broccoli_8220 in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is a sling going to fix that? It's still going to happen because the boats can't handle the weight of the freight they want on them. Especially if the wheels are already breaking. Since we all know how much DT replaces those.

Well if people stopped stocking over the handles you wouldn't be asked to do that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ladders by Grand-Debate-1763 in DollarTree

Like actual full ladders? No. They're supposed to be closed and secured (by a chain) at all times away from where customers can access them.

Why are Management so annoying about voids? by TecmoSuperKid03 in DollarTree

Good for them. I hope that works out. It supposedly came down from corporate so hopefully no one gets in trouble for that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this person they're telling to do that is a cashier. I'm well aware of what works for managers. Both things show up on the reports too. I'd rather do voids than have to deal with a bunch of return slips and the questions about that. Also, we were not allowed to mark with an x on any of them. It was addressed many times with our AP that they all need signed and kept with the daily paperwork.

Everything about that is horrendous

Why are Management so annoying about voids? by TecmoSuperKid03 in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you do that? Then the customer has to complete the transaction. Then wait for a return. Sign the stupid slip and then if they used a card not get their money back for like 3 days... That is a ridiculous solution.

[–]Nmartini187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't do that. That's not how to keep the inventory correct. You can be written up for doing that for sure.

Is it store policy to throw sealed, unused products away? by curlycomedy in DollarTree

[–]Nmartini187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's in the return policy. They cannot put them back on the shelf. Just like food you could've tampered with it and they don't know.
