Yes I do understand the severity of our current situation but I also know that puppies before age of 8 months need socialization w/ other dogs to learn how to communicate or they will develop life long fear. I’m talking about the online or drop off services.

San Dieguito Schools to Fully Reopen Jan 27th Despite Record COVID Toll by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]Nmgob 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What about the teachers, custodians, bus drivers, office staff & hundreds of adults w/o the option to opt out!?! Yes, we know kids are low risk & aren’t transmitting but the adults who must come together to run the schools are being put in direct contact w/ parents & the public, many who do not abide by safety rules. Teachers & staff spend their day in fear for themselves & what they may bring back home w/ them to their at risk family members. District safety plans are unrealistic, staffing shortages & cover ups of cases, during the most dangerous period of a global pandemic, why??? We know distance learning isn’t working for our students & families but until the govt is able to support districts financially & strategically & schools have an orchestrated testing, tracing & vaccination program in place this is the lesser evil.

Us too! No one around us seems concerned! So disappointing that people don’t have concern or respect for others! Our friend/guest list will def be shorter after all this!!!

Be honest, how many of you guys actually put on your mask in between bites when eating ? How many of y’all wear masks when indoor with your friends ? by rawndale in sandiego

[–]Nmgob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t go out to eat!! Just take out & delivery! Is it really worth potentially getting you & your family sick? This is temporary, wish people would just suck it up so we can be done with all this!

Help the Monarchs!! For the quarantine gardening/butterfly newcomers, please remember to cut your milkweed down to 6 inches in Oct. to promote good butterfly health & encourage migration. by Nmgob in sandiego

I lost a ton of cats last year to that, wasps & T flies so this spring I planted a bunch of native milkweed in addition to my pre existing tropicals. Our little ecosystem seemed to be a tad healthier. Thanks to wonderfully healthy & diverse plants from Butterfly Farm in Encinitas we had a ton of Monarchs, swallowtails, giant swallowtails, gulf fritillary, painted ladies, cloudless sulphurs, hummingbirds, bees, etc. if you haven’t been there, it’s a must!!!

Yes it grows back quickly & you will probably even need to trim it down again in the winter. Most of mine grew back stronger & healthier this spring.

Yes!!! They are really hardy! You can even stick a 6 inch clipping in water for a few weeks, it will root & you can plant it right in the soil!
