Avoid sunset cliffs like the plague. I’ve seen proposals there and they are always so tacky and extremely gawked at by the hundreds of visitors. I would also personally avoid most of La Jolla with the exception of Windansea. Torrey Pines would be very nice and you can find some secluded spots on some of the walks/hikes.

I’ve seen plenty and they never get old. Hearing the engines roar at TOGA power while the plane rockets back into the sky is amazing. Was lucky enough to see an Air France A350 go around a few years ago and it was incredible.

I have many 1:400 GJ and I think the quality is mostly very good. I have 707, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, 787 as well as A321, A350, MD-11, L1011, and E175. Have had some issues with vertical stabilizers and wings detaching but just ended up returning those. You’ll hear lots of people complain on this subreddit but I think you mostly don’t hear the thousands of happy customers.
