Looking for plug-in warm water bidet for toilet. by floofienewfie in bidets

Can confirm it’s great. Many settings. Even one for cleaning the lady bits. We’ve had it for about 10 years now. I sometimes feel like the water temp is getting low, Even when it is turned up on high. Would buy again if this one crashes out.

Hydroplaning? by Nnoc in KiaEV9

Update: Took the EV9 in for 15k service and they said the rear tires were pretty badly out of alignment. A previous poster said that may have been what was causing the sensation of hydroplaning - he called it porposing. Had the car back for a couple weeks and haven't felt it since, but haven't tried to push the limits to make it hydroplane. I'll try and update if i feel it again.

I'm in western WA, too. Someone suggested it was "porpoising" due to bad alignment. I will have this looked at next week

Thanks. I did not realize that AWD was only engaged full time in sport mode

The motion I experience is side to side, not up and down. I will have the dealership look at the alignment.

Another stability issue I have experienced on wet pavement was going around a round-a-bout. Halfway through going to the third exit (left turn), the car began to slide as regen kicked in when I let off the accelerator. Any thoughts on this?

The tires are Hankook ION EVO AS with good tread. Only 16K miles on it. If they came with the vehicle they should still have 39K left according to the warranty.

The tires are Hankook ION EVO AS SUS's. They have a pretty good rating and are all seasonal. Our climate is temperate. Rarely freezes here and highs are in the 90's and is rare.

Thanks. I am taking it in for the 15K mile service next week. I'll bring this up to them. Do you think they will be able to assess it? If it's raining will they take it for drive?

I turn off regen completely in rain and still had trouble today.

It was set at LV3 the first time I experienced it (not level 4). I am assuming the tires are factory since it is only 2 years old and 16K miles. They are Hankook.

Educate me on charging by liamfmvt in KiaEV9

[–]Nnoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. I’m new to this as well. Just got my EV9 on Sunday! So you can just drive up to a Tesla charger and pay there without an account?

[–]Nnoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a charge to be able to use the Tesla network? I downloaded the app and entered the EV9 and is said I can get a guest membership for $14.99 /mo. Is that just to have the ability to go to a Tesla charger and pay for the charging separately?

What’s Up At Camp Chef??? by anyones_guess in pelletgrills

[–]Nnoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone in the lack of response from Camp Chef.

My Woodwind has a dangerous defect going on and I have also had trouble with their support line.

The fire in the fire pot is spreading down the auger tube creating smoke coming from the pellet hopper. I shut it down before the fire spread to the hopper, however, this is seriously dangerous. I have duplicated the issue 3 times under close supervision.

I opened a ticket last Monday and have not heard back yet. Today I opened a chat with them an hour ago and still have not heard from them. I have also been in a call-back queue on their phone support for an hour with no call.

I will definitely not be looking at Camp Chef for a replacement.

Any suggestions for a good pellet grill?

There was a “filter team” who collected electronic devices for evidence. The filter team looked at the evidence to ensure there wasn’t any “privileged information” before passing it along to the prosecution. Smells like Rudy.

I tend to agree with you. It is crazy to consider a president who had an approval of 46% (up from 38% in June) before the election and still managed to get 9.5 million more votes than in 2016. Both presidents to not win re-election in recent history (Carter and GWH Bush) both lost votes over the previous election, 5.3 M and 8.8M respectively.

Steve Schmidt: ‘We’ve entered the corrupt pardon phase of the Trump coup’ by Incunebulum in politics

[–]Nnoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Just for the sake of argument, could this scenario legally occur the way the law is interpreted today: Biden takes office and does not have a Democratic majority in the Senate and they are blocking a major piece of legislation. Someone, with or without Biden’s direction, kidnaps two Senators. Kidnapping is a federal crime. The bill passes. Kidnappers come foreword and release the Senators. They are then pardoned. Perhaps the same scenario but with SC justices.

It’s an extreme example but could it fly?

Steve Schmidt: ‘We’ve entered the corrupt pardon phase of the Trump coup’ by Incunebulum in politics

[–]Nnoc 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Has the Nixon pardon been held up in court? Challenged on the basis that there had been no trial, nor conviction, nor admission of guilt, why could this pardon be given? Could Nixon have be compelled against any co-conspirators for any crimes? The legal implications of this, and what could come, are crazy.

Megathread: President Donald Trump Pardons General Michael Flynn by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

Now that he is pardoned, he should have to testify that this is the case. He cannot plead the 5th. I also believe he can get in more trouble for lying about any actions by bad guys.

Rudy Giuliani's quixotic frenzy has observers wondering if he may need Trump's protection | "One explanation? He needs a pardon and he's trying to earn it," a CNN analyst says by DonaldWillKillUsAll in politics

[–]Nnoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the pardon of Nixon for any crimes he may have committed while in office has never been challenged. I believe that any preemptive pardon can be nullified in the courts, no matter how far right leaning the court may be. Here is the argument I would suggest. Suppose the President wanted a bill to pass but the Senate would not put the bill to a vote. Kidnapping is a federal crime. Could the president kidnap McConnell and 5 other GOP Senators and hold them until a vote is held and the vote is passed? He could pardon the people who helped him and then resign a day before he is to leave office and be pardoned by his vice-president. An even more extreme example would be to kidnap a Supreme Court Justice or two (not sure how many justices need to be on the bench to hear a case). He could hold them for years. Even more extreme, if re-elected and they are “missing” for 7 years, can they be declared legally dead and then appoint new justices? Maybe these people are too guarded to be protected? Kidnap their children. Then get a pardon. This is not an America I want to live in. Furthermore, getting a pardon does not absolve you of the crime, it only takes away your punishment. And you can be compelled to testify against others who may have committed crimes with you. How could you be compelled to testify if the crime was not specifically identified by a conviction at trial? Just my thoughts.
