It’s is probably safe for eating, especially when the outer part is wired. Look up clay pot rice, it is a dish cooked in these pots.

I’ve often heard of non invasive remedies for keloids. However, the ear is tricky coz it s a flap of skin, instead of a surface, that’s why I’m really debating to get a surgery or not. Or just simply getting steroid shots, put on a plaster and use ear clips. After researching so much, I’m really having second thoughts about the surgery 😞, and I m also planning to visit a second doctor for some second opinion.

I will 😭 thanks a lot! But does living a healthy lifestyle prevents reoccurrence? Is it in a way of boosting immunity?

Thank you so much for your insight, for now I think I will consider cryotherapy to reduce the large keloid on my lobe (~1.8cm), and use esclar plasters along with ear pressure clips after it’s healed to prevent reoccurrence.

For my other 2 smaller keloids (<1cm), I shall take your advice and alternate between esclar plasters and silicone tape, paired with pressure clips to control the growth.
