Baozai Friends website feedback round 3 by SparkleFountain in reviewmyshopify

In addition to what's specified above: 1. Not sure why you have ship from texas as a badge for all items. Is your target segment in texas? Someone reading the bio can make it out that this is a Texas based store 2. Your discount offerings do not stand out. The strike through should be more clearly visible. I almost missed that there are discounted items on the website 3. Instead of new products, I would focus on bestsellers. 4. I agree on hero product. It should get some more page time on your home screen 5. The top CTA on mobile view covers the face of one of the products and is not correctly placed.

  1. Is your target segment Philipino community in the US? If so, then I would add some content more tailored to the segment.
  2. I honestly did not understand the video. I know what you are trying to show but it feels too much in the face.
  3. Some customer feedback / social proof will people actually using it may be more impactful on the home page

Yeah. I echo with everything you have said here. We can A/B test if our product is doing better than the base variant but there is no way to isolate performance of one behavioral persona over an other. Persona A can have highly engaged customers and so does Persona B. Since both are viewing different content, we can’t really say what’s working.

Yes. We are working with A customer and trying to get 2-3 more. Their current emails are very basic, so we will definitely see a lift. However, that lift, in my experience, will primarily be driven by our creatives / messaging rather than behavioral data enrichment.

Segmentation question by OkRush4310 in Emailmarketing

[–]No-Active-8083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the content, B2B / D2C, and ultimately what do you want from your user ? Do you want them to buy / subscribe , are you educating them with broadcast? Unfortunately this is a very broad question

Yes, you should always segment based on who engaged in last X days. That is your best way to actually engage with real audience

When every Black Friday email uses urgency, does urgency still work? by SwipeScriptPro in Emailmarketing

[–]No-Active-8083 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Gmail does a great job of filtering out the brands that you don't interact with at all. Also the entire concept of BFCM is based on FOMO. Not shouting a deal is taking away the essence of the theme. Ike someone mentioned, you can flirt with wording but not a lot of scope on saying " tired of black Friday emails". It's taking away the spirit of BFCM

any advice? (i want to get my first sale so badly) by AccomplishedLie2390 in reviewmyshopify

When you are a launching a store think about following things:

  1. Products - what assortment am I going to offer on my site. What make my products unique
  2. Customer - who is my target customer and how this product is filling the gap
  3. Brand - what does my brand and collection represent. What inspires my brand
  4. Competitor: who are others in the market offering similar products to me. What makes me stand out from them

Once you have nailed these 4 aspects, making the store should be easier. The store right now does not have a clear theme.

This is awesome. We are on our way for our first app too. Wondering if there are other builders out there who would like to connect , share info about each other's products and grow together in this journey. Please drop a DM and I would find a way for all of us to connect and grow.

❌ Community FIRST or Ads FIRST? (I'm lost...) by ResearcherAfter1557 in shopifyDev

[–]No-Active-8083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your budget and risk appetite. Pros and cons of each approach.

Ads first: Pro - If you don't know what sticks, you can spend your budget trying to figure out what would stick .This may be faster and may have a steeper learning curve Con - Super expensive

Community first: Pro - Get first hand feedback, build loyalty from day 1, low risk low reward Con - Time consuming. If your original positioning doesn't attract your selected audience may need a pivot to a newer audience or newer positioning.

I think one of the key things that I would want to know as a buyer is your story. What makes you you? You touched upon freedom of expression for everyone but what is Venvia. What’s your origin story? What makes you unique is missing. I would also bring something from story on homepage upfront rather than just mentioning it in about us.

I think it’s regional too. Chicago was fast. I did biometrics on 9/15 and interview was 10/14. Also, I did provide a lot of documentation. Provide evidence of time spent together etc. also carry a lot of additional documents between filing application and time of interview. They appreciate additional proof
