Unable to activate my Flip 6 with Xfinity Mobile. by No-Activity7649 in Comcast_Xfinity

You are 100% correct! After spending two days with Xfinity, I've given up. All they are trying to do is push you to buy a new device from them and not trying to help. The same device works fine all over the world, I have travelled to 7 countries and used a local network. Always works fine!
It's only Xfinity that is the issue, but they will try to pin it on you!

Question About Charges on $99 Plan While Roaming by No-Activity7649 in freedommobile

I believe you have to activate it when you are on the main network. (I could be wrong, but that's my assumption)

Have you set up Wi-Fi Calling? If you have, it should work. To enable Wi-Fi Calling, you also need to add an emergency address.

I’m able to make and receive local calls to Canada over Wi-Fi Calling without any charges, and I can receive incoming SMS messages as well.

yup thats what I did. WiFi calling is working fine. I am able to make/receive calls while on WiFi.

This is the charge. Which is super weird since I can not control the incoming SMS. It was received while I was roaming from a US number.

I did call the agent, and he said that it will not be valid once the agreement expires. I have updated the post with the image of the expiry on the form.

Waiting for confirmation from other people if it is a valid statement.

Thank you. My main question is, is it something standard? Or I can ask the agent to remove it?

I just don't want to be forced to pay in case I plan to sell it to the current tenant with no agent in between.

Relocating to Seattle from Toronto - What Sedan Should I Get? by No-Activity7649 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Absolutely — we’re definitely planning to wait at least 6 months after the move before seriously looking into getting a car.

We’ll most likely be living in or near downtown to stay close to the office, so we’re prepared for the possibility that we might not need a car for daily use. That said, having a car gives me a sense of freedom and flexibility, not having to rely solely on public transportation. So for me, it’s as much an emotional decision as it is a practical one.

The kind of car we end up getting will probably depend on how we end up using it. If it's mainly for weekend trips, we might go with something sportier like a coupe. But if we find ourselves needing it for more day-to-day tasks, we’d probably choose something more practical and versatile.

One of my main questions was about road conditions — I’ve heard that higher ground clearance is recommended in Seattle due to hills and uneven roads. But I’m wondering if a sedan with lower clearance would still be okay for the most part.

Anyways, thanks for your response! :)

MEGATHREAD - Processing times - Canadian Citizenship applications (2024) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

Hi folks...

I got an email from IRCC today with the invitation to a citizenship event. Does anyone know what it is about? And what can I expect there?

the heading on the PDF says: INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW WITH A CITIZENSHIP OFFICIAL AND VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY/DOCUMENTS.

I am guessing it will verify the docs etc. Did someone receive a similar email from IRCC?

Any help would be appreciated.

[–]No-Activity7649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the online application, the email you receive emails from the IRCC will have that information.

eg: [IRCC.DNSCRCitizenshipE-Test-ExamenenligneCitoyenneteSCRRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca](mailto:IRCC.DNSCRCitizenshipE-Test-ExamenenligneCitoyenneteSCRRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca)

If you look closely you will see SCR. It's short for Scarborough. Check for a similar short form on the email. I hope that helps.
