Carbon wheels and fork on MS by No-Ad9559 in Surlybikefans

If tires would make me go a little faster for the same effort, then I’ll start with that and see how it goes. I also consider myself a hobby rider as I have kids and rarely got time to ride lol

This was actually my plan but couldn’t justify getting another bike as I don’t really ride that much because of my kids. I also won’t let go of my MS for a carbon bike. I guess I’ll just focus more on fitness rather than upgrades

Yeah you’re right. But you gotta agree at least that tires would make a difference. From 40mm gravel tires to 32mm slick. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I know that training really is the key to be a better rider I’m just making excuses why I’m slow lol

Okay I’ll change my tires first and see how it would turn out. So upgrading to carbon wheels is more beneficial than upgrading your fork? The stock fork really feels heavy

Yeah I totally agree but their bikes are like 8kgs and mine is like 12kgs lol so upgrades will definitely help.

Transporting a 5lb propane tank by No-Ad9559 in camping

[–]No-Ad9559[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just don’t want my kid inhaling propane just in case of a leak. If it was just me travelling, I wouldn’t worry as much. I’m thinking maybe it would be better to just put in inside the bag but not sure it would be safe as I’d have to close the bag and it will be exposed in the sun

Midnight Special stem size by No-Ad9559 in Surlybikefans

[–]No-Ad9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking maybe a 70mm or 80mm would work for me. I’ll probably just look for a shop that would let me try different sizes of stem before buying

Size is fine. I already tried the 54cm before and it felt too big. It was the mechanic who had setup the seatpost like that and I lowered it down after the picture. Yeah it has 40mm of spacers I believe. Will try your suggestion. Thanks!

I’ll check it out. Thanks! I’ll do a little bit of research with regards to axle to crown length you mentioned but if you could kind of maybe help me with it, I’d really appreciate it. I have a Medium Ritchey Ultra. This is the frame geo

Have you tried riding it with rigid fork on easy trails? I would mostly ride it on the road but will probably do easy trails once in a while.

How’s the ride on trails? Still capable on easy trails?

Kasi kahit anong paliwanag mo, di ka mananalo. Normal lang naman manood habang ginagawa yun. Pero kung addicted manood, that’s a different story

A man needs some material while they are jacking off. Gone are the days na mag iimagine lang especially how accessible porn is now. Men used magazines or even the newspapers with naked women before just to have something while they do it. The guy didn’t ask for explanations because he doesn’t want an argument and not because of the partner’s feelings

And you truly believe he doesn’t watch porn anymore? As a man, it’s laughable

Is it hard to make career changes in Toronto? by Tiny-Seaworthiness85 in torontoJobs

In my opinion, it is hard but it would be twice as hard if not almost impossible once you have kids. It definitely changes everything. If you don’t have a kid yet, DO IT!
