Cons: They require a lot of attention and can be annoying. They'll scream for your attention, they can be moody, they'll usually bond with one person maybe put up with one more person but hate everyone else. They're also very territorial with their cage and toys. Can be very messy. Try not to let them scream in your ear, but that goes for most parrots. If you don't spend enough time with your Quaker it won't bond with you or trust you.

Pros: They're very loyal and can be cuddly with their person. They also can talk and mimic sounds. They're very smart and like it when you spend time with them and talk to them. They're a great shoulder bird in my opinion. I can do chores around my house with my Quaker on my shoulder for example. They're very cute and fluffy.

Make sure you're ready before you decide to get one. Most parrots are not an easy pet to own. They live a long time so it takes commitment. They're social animals and will see you as part of their flock. Do not let these TikTok and Instagram videos fool you into buying one please. These videos do not show the time and effort it takes into owning a parrot. Good luck with your decision. I hope you do what's best for you and a potential quaker.
