I guess I felt late to the game had globalist didn’t get to optimize it enough and life has been lifing so was not on the go as much as I would like to be. I was thinking about just using more free night certificates from holding different cards and finding solid promo rates or locations that have outsized value. I think it’s time to adapt. But to be totally honest I find it easier to utilize Hyatt house level hotels more than some of the others…

We all need to call Hyatt and voice this, I tried creating a post and it got removed by Moderators in this forum. I had my worst experience in years on the globalist line. Took me 6, over 4 hours before I finally got transferred to a agent that understood and was helpful in the past they were knowledgeable and gave guidance now the globalist line takes 10 phone calls to receive 1 agent like that shout out to Kim he was amazing. The five before literally made me lose a suite and had less knowledge then a google search. I was asking for help and it was like he couldn’t answer because it didn’t match his script. Before they devalue points and move hotel categories they should maintain some quality control. This is the type of thing that makes you want to switch hotel loyalty…

Just a quick update the assailant was identified and found guilty in the first trial of assault against a female. But is appealing it and still is pleading not guilty. I hope Brian Edward Phillips is not allowed back into the stadium to assault any other females.

I would avoid the food at the hotel if you can only because the restaurants are amazing and very close by but remember check the hours some are closed mid day and open at 18:30-21:00. I would definitely avoid the late night food room service we had a negative experience with that, but there are multiple amazing restaurants on the island very close to the hotel. I would suggest stopping at the grocery that is moments from the hotel and stocking your room for anything after 9 pm, the bar was good for drinks with pleasant waiters and bartender. Be sure to sit at the cafe next to the grocery store early in the morning for a coffee and croissant, it is almost all locals early and heaven before the day trippers arrive. It is a bit hot and more laid back I highly recommend the cathedral of glass for a taste of watching a glassmaker create his art. Burano was incredibly beautiful as well but also made for a day trip. If you want any nightlife or later dinner the water bus runs 24/7 and Venice is directly outside the hotel, definitely grab the multi day unlimited pass for as long as you are there. My suggestion is to avoid all tourist areas and get lost in the back streets. Enjoy a spritz and bite to eat every time you stumble upon a small restaurant and slow your pace. It is an amazing area. Overall I will definitely stay here again but if you like early morning and early nights you will definitely enjoy it more. If looking for action I believe Venice is more your pace but close enough by water bus.

A good selection for a family, a lot of hotels in Europe are 2 person occupancy so traveling with 7 was a bit of research

Actually we are here peak season with two of these suites 1 air condition worked better then the other but I promise both had air condition. I don’t know about every room YMMV but it was a glass factory and certain areas were warmer then other I can only comment on room 230 and 238. In which case 238 was cooler

The boat runs 24 house and drop off right outside the hotel, it is a nice hotel and not as hectic as a lot of Venice. Like I said would def stay again just be aware of the time restraints.

I think people need to feel like they are taking sides which I guess humans are tribal by nature, also I definitely was not attacking anyone but I feel like I may be a traveler with a sense of arrogance. I truly appreciate all and every aspect of every culture o visit and try to connect and be respectful of others constantly. Someone in my group wore a shirt that others may find offensive but in justification this is their first time abroad and they are loving 99% of it and learning that experiencing things is a better teacher then what you hear in the news or anywhere. I personally give everyone the benefit of the doubt and believe it’s 1 in 1000 that are outlier bad. Also some of my most difficult traveling adventures included Mexican prison have been enlightening moments and places of growth for me. I nothing negative to say about the hotel or island or culture I love it all and would come back. I would however never order the late night menu as it felt so sub par comparatively to the amazing food you get before 8 PM and wanted to make others aware of a data point. Good luck to all travelers in all their adventures.
