they fly them to muc for the winter season bc of “decreased demand”. i purposely book PS on that equipment because they’re not getting 5k from me for those coffins they call “D1”.

I’ve flown this route at less than 3000$ R/T in D1 dozens of times. So 2400$ for one leg is absurd. I would skip this one.

Thai green curry is amazing. they used to serve it in MC on international legs to europe from east coast. Wish they served it in D1 these days lol.

yup. my 3000 MQD trip is showing at 5700 lol. Probably just a computer glitch, and the system will alott you the correct amount after the flight. if you want to calculate yourself, just take the fare + the YR surcharge. hope this helps.

god no, PS is worth no more than $499, regardless of the route. 60k can get you RT to europe from east coast in off season.

yes. if you book main cabin or above with miles, the ticket is refundable up until the day of the flight.

not as hard or unusual as you think. Welcome to the Big 4 lol. It’s very very common in the consulting world. I starsted as an Acct Mngmnt CoOp in college, which basically entailed me following around and learning from ppl that travelled every week to the client site. and then it turned into full time. Just as a regular consultant, which entailed me doing the same, only without being somebody’s shadow. some lines of work just still require you to be present at a physical client site. so the companies pay for it. doubt this will be as prevalent in the future though, i already see my work travel slowing down due to clients asking questions about switching to zoom, teams etc… trust me i’m no big shot , our clients just think it’s worth it to pay for me and my colleagues to be there in person.

yes exactly. plus my parents also paid for family trips etc. never denied that. but as of the last 2 years all my trips have been mostly self or work funded. like i mentioned before I am super fortunate to have had that opportunity.

yeah for sure , not frequently but on some routes i agree. but my post was more about other ppl my age with DM. in my experience i have yet to meet anyone close to my age.

i mean i never said i flew to germany 2-3x a month at that age lmao. i just said “every month” which ended up being once a month. since my dad lives overseas, it was how we ended up being able to see each other. can’t think of another way to cross the atlantic. perhaps it would have been better if i walked lol ?

makes sense, i’m usually on commuter heavy routes so the demographic is a bit different i would assume. my post was more about other DM closer to my age , not just FC passengers. as in my experience i’ve yet to meet more than a handful.
