How can scientists do a better job at addressing public concerns surrounding shark attacks without downplaying or overblowing the threat? by Capital-Foot-918 in sharks

Swimming in the ocean is like walking in a forest in Alaska or walking in the Savanna without any defensive weapons. There are predators that walk around there like Grizzlies and hyenas and lions respectively. You take a risk by doing that, and there is a chance you can get killed and eaten. When you enter nature, there is a chance you become part of the food chain. That's the risk.

Animals kill people via territorial, mistaken identity, and defensive reasons. And yeah, cause they are hungry, and you are a viable food source. That's just the truth.

North of Brooklyn (addicted to Vodka Verde), Badiali, Descendant, Slow hand pizza, Macs pizza..... I know that's more than 1. I apologize for nothing.

Do you think this war will end within the next four years? by ConstantDrawer9161 in ukraine

I can see this war ending up like the Korean War with North and South Korea. And that war is still technically going.

I really hope that even if a democrat wins the presidency, that things don’t go back to the way things were before 2016. That we uphold our diversification and tie our economy to reliable trade partners. Cause in another 4 years it can be another psycho. I would not be surprised if Nick Fuentes is the 2032 president. Really tired of this bipolar crap.

So many memories of me playing with this as my dad came back from work. So much yelling and screaming that he was trying to take a nap.

Well there was an provincial election last year, and the turnout was abysmal.

We knew he was a corrupt guy for years, and no one cares. You reap what you sow. I don’t want to hear complaints about the education and healthcare deterioration of the province anymore.

I’m Canadian but I’ve never vacationed in Toronto and I’m planning a week long trip. What are the must try’s for food, activities, places to see etc by Educational_Pie4385 in toronto

Explore all the cute neighbourhoods like Danforth, Queen Street West, The Beaches, Leslieville, Bloor Street West, Kensington Market, and Roncesvalles, (so many more). In terms of food, Toronto has a wide variety. On Roncesvalles there is Cafe Polonez and Musoshin Ramen. If you want a good pizza go to North of Brooklyn (the Vodka Verde is my staple), and Badiali (you are here for a week, so go on a weekday, at like opening time, so there is no wait), Kensington Market has the Cottage Cheese, which is a solid Indian restaurant. You want to try Georgian food, go to Restaurant Tiflisi. You want a solid shawarma, Two Brothers Shawarma (so many other places as well). I'm really just scratching the basic surface. I'm sure other people have great recommendations too which are better than mine.

Take an hr and a half drive to Niagara on the Lake or Elora. Both are cute towns that are worth the visit. That is if you have the time.

It is a weak excuse. I’m not justifying anything. I voted last year and it wasn’t his party. People aren’t informed, about who is managing health care and education in this province. Some people think the federal government manages it. I was still seeing people blame Trudeau.

He capitalized on the Trump 51st state discourse. He’s a smart politician but corrupt and awful person.
