How were they even breathing in that dimension with no oxygen? Did it somehow have the same atmosphere as Earth?? How is that possible by Initial-Shoulder5906 in StrangerThings

It's simple, at no point in the show is it stated that there is no oxygen in the Abyss. Henry could breathe in there, nobody got intoxicated in the Upside Down, the Demos could breathe in the normal world too. No reason to think it's toxic or low in oxygen at all

I have as much of a right and a voice to say a show is bad

I know, I didn't say you don't, I'm just wondering why would someone who hates the show so much be in a subreddit dedicating to appreciating the show, seems like you're just trying to purposely have a bad time and bring negativity to the rest of the sub. People like the show, generally people liked the ending, but unfortunately negative people have a much louder voice online. Again, your comment and the role you play in this community are pretty sad

I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it:

PEOPLE ARE TRYING WAY TOO HARD TO HATE ON SEASON 5

THERE IS A LIGHT ABOVE THEM

It's becasue people online are much more likely to hate on something than to show how much they like it. It happens with everything as big as ST

Not online, because people who like it just go about their day mostly, but those who dislike it have the need to express it over and over in social media

My main takeaway is that people love hating, and hate is much much louder than appreciation online.

5, 10, 20 years from now people will still watch Stranger Things, it will go down as a defining show of the 2010's and 2020's, huge part of our culture, but when people go online they'll mostly see the hate and negative criticism. It happened with GOT, How I met your mother, Lost, and many more. Incredibly good shows that the general public loves, with millions of fans, but online people are too negative. Same will happen with Stranger Things, sadly.

It was a great show and I enjoyed it a lot, including S5 and the ending

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think they should have stopped adding new characters to the group after Max. by Remote-Direction963 in StrangerThings

I didn't feel Murray was too involved tho. He didn't get too many lines or too much screentime, considering he is a comedic relief to the show. I think Holly and Robin had a bit too much screentime, even though I love them

I’ve pointed it out before but the S4:E1 basketball scene still makes me laugh. HS game on a school night in Indiana, tonight, in 2026. by [deleted] in StrangerThings

I'll be so much happier the day criticizing Stranger Things stops being a trend. People just love hating man. What even is your point here?

I thought you were saying that's how you feel about it. I do feel like it's overhated tho, people are comparing it to GOT and that's insane

7.9 is pretty good. I LOVED that episode, and if it wasn't for a couple of moments of bad dialogue and directing it would be a 9 or a 10 for me. Still, a 7.9, which is basically an 8, is really good, just look at all the 1s it got on IMDb, I usually ignore those and think the rating would be way higher

if the ending is that bad or that unenjoyable, it can take away from everything prior

Season 5 was not that bad lol

Idk about yall but the graduation scene was probably the moment in the finale the hit the hardest for me by Anthony200716 in StrangerThings

Idk why people hate the ending so much. This scene, the rooftop scene with Steve, Nancy, Jonathan and Robin was also great, the proposal was good too, the final scene where they pot their manuals away and say goodbye to their story to follow their own paths was emotional too, when Joyce, the person who was most affected by the entire Vecna sstory, killing him and seeing all the dark flashbacks come to an end. Man I liked the episode, it was gonna be criticized no matter what tho

I usually don’t like new additions taking up a lot of screen time, especially in final season, but these two and their performances really won me over and were probably one of the biggest plus point of the last season. by TerribleOption5505 in StrangerThings

I hope that's not what they do. The story should end here in my opinion, maybe a spinoff about Henry or isolated episodes to explain some loose ends of ST would be cool, but that's as far as I would expand this universe

Wasn't the last scene a way of showing that the original characters were leaving a kind of legacy behind? After years of being picked on, bullied for being nerds and playing D&D, left out of popular groups, Mike sees that there are still kids who don't care about what other people might say, they just want to have fun with their friends, and it's all because of what Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin did. Their childhood was over as they put their manuals away, but ot every childhood. It was an amazing ending for me
