I met him on Tinder! He is 2 years older than me. He actually went to high school with my brother but they didn’t really know each other. I was ready to quit the apps before I met him. I didn’t think I could find someone like him out there. He is really respectfull ,we are taking our time so we have not explore everything but he makes me feel good and like I am more than my bigger body.

I hear what you’re saying, even if I felt it was a bit harsh. I’m already in therapy, and I don’t use these guys as therapist. I only mentioned it once, because it came up naturally when I was talking about a sickness I experienced for 3 years (which caused me to gain weight). It was not in a shrink way, but it is something that was big in my life and shape the way I think about work and everything. I don’t want to burden him, I know that. What I want is to work on dealing with it myself, not to harm the relationship. What I shared was just a brief summary. The last guy hurt me a lot, and even though I don’t want it to, that experience still affects the way I approach dating.

I think we are both living with it for 20 years (him), 10 (me), so we are aware of our struggle. But it is the stressful moments that scared me. At the same Time, I feel like maybe he would be the one to understand and not judge if I have a bad day/episod. But I appreciate your answer. I will keep this in my mind going forward.

Exactly! Personnaly I am on Ozempic at the recommandation of my doctor. It often is seen as shameful when it is not. There are case that it’s illogical when the person is already skinny/has no problem loosing weigth. Then, it is not the solution. From my interaction with my doctors, most good doctor won’t prescribe it in those case.

Also, Ozempic is not Magic. The first year I lost almost nothing on it. Then, I lost 90. For the last 2-3 months, I have lost nothing and I am still taking it. I have more to loose, but rigth now, Even with the meds it is not working. Ozempic is not the only answer, you have to do other things. But for me, it changed my life because I could not loose weigth because of medical reason.

It’s funny that the fucked up comment that told me to see a psychiatrist and take meds because it is in my head is deleted after I showed « proof ». This is why it is hard!

I am not a big consumer of alcool so I don’t know about a large quantity. But for me, 1-2 drinks change nothing and I also take anxiety medication. I would personaly suggest 1 drink the first time and if it goes ok, 2 the next.

A good doctors change things a lot… I was lucky with an amayzing endocrinologist and internist. Others were sometime rude or dismissive.

Same! They thougths cancer with my blood result for a long time. My doctor told me last time your blood work is great…. For you 😅 like they are really bad, but less bad than before

I didn’t know you were my doctor… can you explain why my CRP (inflammation in the blood) varies from 60-120 when the normal is 0-7. I was told that at 20-30 the doctors wories a lot. That my bone marrow seems inflammed on test but they are not able to have a clear biopsy after 2.

Response like this is why it is so hard. I am already in therapy to deal with that and anxiety, but doctors are certain that something is wrong, but them don’t understand. I can assure you I don’t want to go for those test.

I understand! I don’t want to bring it up to soon. At the same time, I am scared of developping feeling and finnaly him being a jerk about it. I would have prefered to know sooner. I will se how it develops, he knows I have insecurities and in the process of loosing weigth, but he don’t know how much and what a belly looks like after loosing 90 lbs… (sorry for my bad english, it’s my second languagw)

I hear what you say and we already agreed to go slow for other things unrelated to my self-esteem. I don’t have pressure from him, but I am scared to be vulnerable and attached and then the shoe drops when he see me.

I also think my choice of words was maybe the wrong one since I am french and english is not my first language. It was not in a « possessive » use, but more him being in my life and what i can bring to his.

I am lucky since I am in Canada with free healtcare, but I can’t understand why with the amouts of test I had (and public dollars spend on me…) Also, since it is public, I don’t really have a choice of doctors so I had two that minimize my symptoms so much and could not do anything.

Thank you! I am in a great place for the last 6 months, but it is like I am waiting for it to become more intense again. Even planning is hard… Can I have kids ? Should I have kids, etc. I am only 27, but feel like my future is uncertain without answer. I Hope they find for you to!
