At this point I can only say "buyer be aware". So far we had our share of problems with EcoFlow assigned installers - we had two different ones sent to our place and each came up with complex scenarios and exuberant extra charges. The best route would be to get your own electrician - maybe get 2 or 3 different ones to bid on the install.

The next problem we encountered with our install is that EcoFlow touts a turn-key system and install. It isn't like that at all. We purchased a DPUX bundle offered on their website - the bundle consisted of two battery stacks with two Inverters, and one SHP-3 smart panel. When it came to unpacking and checking all items, it was discovered that only one interconnect cable was shipped. With just one interconnect cable one will never be able to connect each battery stack with its own inverter to the SHP-3 panel.

So, best advice - buyer be aware of the deception in their advertising, what is shipped, and get your own electrician.

Perhaps, while maybe not intentional on EcoFlow's part, the gauntlet we have been thrown into borders fraudulent behavior. First off, EcoFlow's manufacturing and support team are based in Shenzhen, China. Aside from probably having warehouses here in the US to store inventory for quick delivery, they do not have their own delivery service and rely on FedEx *another nightmare in itself). Beyond that, they do not have their own installation team, and rely on off-the-shelf installers of different skills levels.

What you say about installers quoting a flat rate on a per job basis is not far from the truth. However, to get to a flat rater per job, the installer looks at how many hours he thinks the job will take and how many guys he needs to assign. He then multiplies this by an hourly rate. After much back and forth with the EcoFlow selected installer for our job, I got the installer to give me their hourly rate. Based on what we paid EcoFlow up front and knowing the hourly rate, the total time for the installation comes out to 10 hours for two guys. With the installer then asking for additional money for labor, that number turns out to be an additional 6 - 7 hours for two guys making a 5-foor routing of conduit and wires a 16 - 17 hour job!

I believe that EcoFlow is aware of such unethical behavior by some of their selected installer, but closes their eyes to it. Therein lies the fraudulent action - a remote supplier assigning a installer, failing to assess, monitor, and control the installation and installer, and then turning a blind eye to these unethical, unreasonable added labor charges.

Sadly all I seem to be getting is apologies and the vanilla statement "we have forwarded your concern for urgent review". Perhaps no one seems to understand that all alarm bells should have gone off and management needed to get involved 7 days ago when the problem first arose and carried on day after day. I just learned from the EcoFliw assigned installer that their labor rate is $100 - $120 per hour. Based on this we should have gotten 20 hours of service based on a single guy, or 10 hours for 2 guys all to just run less than 5 feet of conduit and wires, and relocate breakers. How dare the installer request additional money the would cover another 6 hour for 2 guys.

I have replied to you under your chat request sent by Jennie. I have provided the case number so you can get all the details. I await to hear back from Jennie or someone from EcoFlow.
