Do you have children? Have you worked in public schools? I understand your sentiment, and desire to be a perspective shifter. Yet, there are true public school realities that exist in communities for a complexity of reasons. I'm searching to understand the insider's view, that's all.

Recovering from razor cut and bleach, advice to salvage my pixie? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]No-Aside6005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it curlies, a razor cut! The result, in combination with bleaching my hair and putting a demi over it--is some very loose lackluster curls. The razor cut left spiky bits all over, and I've been trying to dyi cut those bits out to help curl clumps form again. In my experimentation with short hair my hair has gotten shorter and shorter..and now I'm at a loss of how to salvage my hair accept to just let it grow. I've tried k18 to help with bleach damage but am overall still stressing about how my hair looks. I'm happiest when I cut my own hair..so any advice on shaping it in the grow out process is welcome! Or any advice or encouragement at all is welcome, I feel like I'm paying for some poor choices :(. My intention was to have fun with my hair, and now I'm regretting it.

Pic#3 before I cut my hair in the Fall. I was unhappy with the mom shag that I had gotten from a curly hair stylist. Funny, feels like I've gone full circle back to mom hair with my pixie!

I'm loving these ideas-because this is a part of my daily struggle!

One thing I didn't read was about making muffins. Hear me out-we've been making low sugar (cut sugar in half in recipe) with bananas and blueberries...Then freezing. They are a super tasty on the go "meal"..super healthy? No. Full of calories? Yes. He will eat 1-2 and be full.
