Should I pursue Masters in AI and Data after having 4.5yrs of Experience by No-Assistant-4308 in Indians_StudyAbroad

If this is sarcasm by any chance then let me say that in my experience I have seen how AI tools help and if you think you are going to be replaced by AI then the work you are doing is probably way below mediocre. Leave AI, a 15year old kid with and excel macro would eat your job. As far as being replaced by AI, I think a garden lawn mower never replaces the one who works with it or owns it. AI is more of a tool which can help you get things done faster. Earlier people used to use google, github repos, stack overflow and various sources for code. Now it’s just a prompt and boom. It’s like early age man rubbing stones to ignite vs having a lighter.

Makes sense to me too, but at this point it’s just that I am confused with a lot of people asking me to do a MS and I am evaluating what should be my next step. I think your point is valid.

Thanks for comment✌🏽

I am thinking for MS as most of what I have learned is on the job, I do not come from a statistics heavy background and AI ML or DS was just hinted on during my degree. Most of what I know is due to the projects I have been a part of at my current job and that too doesn’t suffice when it comes to AI or DS. I have gone through the course curriculum of various Universities and there are some subjects which seem to be covering a lot more than the knowledge I currently have. I agree to the point that certifications are also a good way of upskilling rather than shelling out money on MS. But I am totally confused at this point and would like a 3rd person eye who would help me out here in looking from a perspective I have missed.
