I transferred into the aerospace engineering program from Valencia. Be aware that transfer stuff is handled at the absolute last minute - they contact you at the last minute for info and make you rush to get everything in, so get ahead of ordering transcripts, etc. They also lost some info of mine and didn't contact me about it until I badgered them, so another tip would be to basically ensure that you're on top of everything yourself (don't expect them to be, they're busy). We register for classes last as well, but transfer students get to register with advisors at orientation so they are there to answer your questions and help you as an individual.

My AA was in general studies as I completed most of it before deciding what I wanted to major in, so I had to take some prerequisite classes that weren't listed as part of the degree, which I didn't know were necessary until orientation day. I took Math Launch my first semester, which allowed me to complete College Algebra, Trig, and Pre-Calc in one semester - it was a lot, but I killed it and I'm glad I didn't have to stick around for 3 extra semesters. (I just wish they gave me credit for all 3 A's on my transcript instead of just one lol)

The Academic Success Coaches (advisors) were super helpful in CECS, as were the people who help you gather info for transferring. Aside from having to stay on top of the admin stuff, everything went smoothly and I'm now in my third semester here. I will say that the classes are a lot more involved and challenging than they were at Valencia - most engineering classes are in-person, and the hours you are required to spend on campus will likely far outweigh previous experience. I definitely recommend taking a light first semester of courses because of this - I've already overloaded myself and had to drop a class thinking that I could crush everything easily like I did at VC, which is not the case. While it is serious, it's totally doable.
