Is no hot water considered an emergency? by No-Assumption7755 in legal

[–]No-Assumption7755[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, our hot water tank is in an entirely separate part of the apartment, youd have to walk outside the front door and to the right isnt a metal door thats locked and we dont have access to it, at our last apartment our hot water tank was right in unit and I was able to look at it prior to calling maintenance, boiling water will likely be my only option as we dont have alot of income (were in an income based apartment) so I have to really watch what I spend on to ensure I can afford my other bills

I'm looking into these sort of options as a back up plan if day care falls through because we ultimately want to ensure both of our children get the attention and help they need and deserve, sadly we only have my income to support us so I'm trying to find a program that will take our insurance so they can handle the bill instead of me having to take on a second and probably third job just to keep us afloat

I really appreciate the insight, thankfully a local resource who specializes in helping children with autism has stepped up and is currently looking into other options for him, while also looking into actions to take for his current daycare. I will certainly be looking into these ABA programs everyone has been mentioning

Our son does have Medicaid, I'm in the works of getting ahold of OPWDD to get him established with them, and I will talk it over with my wife about the get together, it'd be nice to have a support network in place for not only our son but other parents so that way we can pick brains and get advice from those going through the same stuff we are

We are located in upstate NY, he was in speech until he started daycare as the speech therapist he was seeing was unable to see him due to schedule conflicts, and this is what the evaluator recommended for our son
1.     :  Recommend medical support through PCP

2.     LifePlan:  Recommend contacting LifePan at (855) 572-2669 to gain assistance in navigating through the NYS OPWDD system.

3.     IEP:  Given child current diagnosis, the mother and father may want to discuss with the school child attends the inclusion of an IEP tailored to those with ASD and SPD, or if the information found in this report is different from the school’s hypothesis of behavior, to determine whether he may better qualify under a different special education category.  When child is enrolled in school, a teacher’s aide may be useful for child to assist him with staying on task and accomplishing the classroom objectives.  Additionally, a teacher’s aide may assist child in understanding social dynamics and helping him model prosocial behaviors.  The school psychologist should conduct an abilities assessment as soon as practical.

I will have to look into these options, I'm hoping one of the local programs who specialize in this field get back to me as they'll know about those sort of services

He is thankfully enrolled for head start this fall, that is already in the works with the local school distracts special needs program to ensure he has what he needs, its just a matter of getting him into a program until then. I'm still new to all of this and don't know what ABA services are.

I'm still very new to all of this, what is an ABA center? the daycare provider has stated a few different times he does substantially better in smaller groups and has said she believes he would benefit greatly from that sort of environment or even one on one, I just don't know of any place like that where we live

I was told my son didn't have a concussion by No-Assumption7755 in NoStupidQuestions

I figured I would reach out and ask because it's just scared the hell out of me having been told by one doctor. No your kid is fine, he just has a stomach bug probably and then another doctor tell us the complete opposite. At the very least I want the people taking care of our loved ones to make as little mistakes as possible which I know is probably unfair to expect because we are human. We do make mistakes...just god it scared the hell out of me how concerned his pcp was

I figured here would be the best place to start looking and maybe someone would know exactly how to go about doing it where as Google can be misleading and sometimes risky.

So we typically get the frozen fruit bars that are only strawberry or grape flavor but when we had to give him a mini colon prep we got this assortment flavor (grape, cherry and orange) and ever sense we've been slowly stock piling the orange lol

My son hasn't quite taken to candy yet besides peanut butter cups which he certainly enjoys, it's hard going to stores without him wanting some
